    That will fix it.

    Happy Birthday Hood Scoop!

Have you ever seen a center punch that's spring loaded and fires the tip down when pressed? You just press it where you want and it will snap down and leave tiny dimple without denting the surrounding area.

Prob w/Streetscene side skirts coming loose

If you see it pulling from the plastic parts and not the car's body then I suggest doing it over and use adhesion promoter on the plastic before applying any tape.

For all those with steeda sport or ultralites

Rears take about 20-25 minutes per side. Fronts took about 45 minutes per side. They will ultimately settle to about a 1'' drop. I like the look of just the rear lowered 1''. I reinstalled the stock fronts. Roush will sell just the rears for a 1'' drop.

MotorTrends 2010 GT500 test with Probst!

I'm really wanting to get one, but I hear it's going to get an aluminum block in a year or 2. I'll wait for that and to see how trashed the economy is after the government gets done with it.

    Anniversary Present from the Wife

Some wives are a real pain. Mine's been great too, only I get my own credit card out and buy what I want. She never complains unless I deserve it. I feel sorry for the poor pukes that have wives that try to dictate how the money is spent unless the guy can't control himself.

First time out... Edel E-force runs 11.6's at 117 MPH

Yeah, that's him. I bought a Hurst shifter for my old '67 Camaro when I was 17 years old and I think some mufflers too. I went in there about 2 years ago looking for a shift knob and he was still a prick I guess because I'm into Fords now. The guy's been around though.

First time out... Edel E-force runs 11.6's at 117 MPH

Yes. He won't install FRPP gears at all. Only Motive. A guy I know tried to explain to him that the FRPP gears are now Motives, but he insisted on Motive boxed and labeled only. I do know 2 people that had him install Motives and they have no problems. The owner is kind of an A-Hole...no people...

First time out... Edel E-force runs 11.6's at 117 MPH

Your best bet is to install the adjustable upper, lowers, and relocation brackets all at once because then it all gets set up and adjusted once. That way you aren't torquing and re-torquing the fasteners, the pinion angle is adjusted once and you are done. A panhard bar can be installed anytime...

    Change to throttle by wire

Kens1129 it sounds to me like you need to clean your throttle body and maf...maybe. A tune will always make the throttle feel great if set up by a pro or even a boxed tune that comes with the tuner.

First time out... Edel E-force runs 11.6's at 117 MPH

That's easy. J&M Products has the ultimate set up. You won't get any additional noise at all and the stuff really performs well. You don't even have to grease them. I have it and love it. I suggest J&M lowers and an adjustable upper control arm as well. Get a set of Steeda lower control arm...

    Considering S-197

All 5 years are good. They made some minor changes for the better, but a couple of things got cheaper like the rear badge (GT) on the trunk is much cheaper on the newer cars. The paint peels off and the older ones have no paint, but a clear coated center emblem. If you pull the spark plugs every...

First time out... Edel E-force runs 11.6's at 117 MPH

Your GT will always hook better with the lighter front end. I hear the GT500's will get an aluminum block in a year or two. I'd like to see how your car will run with a little more practice and some rear suspension work. I mean, you get that rear geometry set up right and get more revs on the...

stock GT suspension in a V6, will it work?

    Change to throttle by wire

''Throttle by wire'' is ''electronic throttle control'' not to be confused with ''cable controlled throttle''. Like the other guys stated, it can be vastly improved by a tune.

    upgrade (poly?) exhaust hangers?

Just a note here. I had a buddy who's exhaust was rattling and I found that when it was very hot even the tips were sticking out beyond the car 1/2'' more than when cold. That's how I found his noise...when it was hot.

    oil in throttle body??

I've got that same little Steeda oil separator and it doesn't catch much. More gets by than gets caught.

Auto to Manual Trans ''How to'' guide

My parts list has a note on the bottom of the page explaining the shifter details. When I got one from newtakeoff.com it only came with the shifter and linkage rod. That was for an '07 I did for a guy. Dalemllms, it's not complicated. Read over the link on the first post.

    Techco is No More

They are finished. One a side note, I had the opportunity to see the Techco supercharger in person at Atco a couple of months ago. The car was idling with the hood up and the owner was complaining about how noisy it is. He said his wife won't even drive it now because of the grinding sound. I...

    blower/engine build question

The rods are the weak link, then the pistons. The stock block is great. When doing rods and pistons the engine has to be torn down, cleaned and the cylinders honed. I saw a guy post this response on another forum: why not spend a little more money on a stroker crank, 8 bolt flywheel, end up with...
