    A post a day......

It went great and the car made it home in one piece. Total of 500 miles for the weekend with about 90 miles on track. These T-5's must overheat easy because it kept getting louder the longer I stayed on track and whined pretty bad at the end of each session. After it cooled down it's quiet...

    What make these cars quiet?

Ultra-flows here too and my car is pretty quiet even with a H-pipe. When I had dumps it was pretty loud, but I like it much better with tailpipes. Going off experience with my cousin's 4.6L. He had a H-pipe and it was ridiculously loud, switched to a X and it's quieter and sounds much better...

    What make these cars quiet?

Yeah the H pipe is louder than the X, but I like the sound of the X better. Although mine is growing on me with my H pipe now. Aftermarket heads/cam will also make it louder.

    A post a day......

Transmission installed last night and drove 170 miles today. Gonna beat on it all day tomorrow on the road course then drive it home. :)

    A post a day......

Got my transmission built and interior back together. Now to install the trans and get the car back on the road.

    A post a day......

Transmission rebuild is starting out rough. Of course the end play was wrong on the counter shaft and I only had 1 shim. I found a pile of shims from my gear install kit, mix and match til I get .064 thickness, then spent an hour grinding them down. Now my end play is still way off and I checked...

    A post a day......

That happened 9 laps into my first session at BeaveRun road course a couple weeks ago. The input shaft looks the same.

    A post a day......

Sunday 10/23 unfortunately. I'm going to another track day at Nelson Ledges. Hopefully my transmission won't break again. I'll post a pic of the damage after I get back from lunch.

94 gt no spark on left side

If I'm understanding correctly, the TFI has a limp mode that will control timing if the ECU fails to send a SPOUT signal. So, you could try pulling the SPOUT and see if it fires.

94 gt no spark on left side

I can't see how getting spark on one bank only would be a problem with the distributor/cap/rotor... Did you check every wire on the both sides? If you had a couple from each side not firing that could be a mechanical problem, but one side firing all cylinders and the other side dead is just odd...

Who makes the best Coil over shocks for my 94

I do use my QA1 for open track days and no problem after 4 events in the last year. Only reason I went with them is because you can use factory springs. No way I could afford a k-member and coil-overs together at the time. For handling, you want a k-member that changes the stock geometry...

Who makes the best Coil over shocks for my 94

I haven't heard that fender mods were needed for the A47 kit, but I know some other kits need it because they move the front wheels too far forward. Let me know what you find on that. I have the QA1 k-member and it moved my front wheels ahead 3/4" but no fender mods were required...

Who makes the best Coil over shocks for my 94

I've heard the Agent 47 SLA set up is top notch for road racing. If I had the $$ I would be all over it. Only problem is it's pretty much the exact setup they use on their race cars so it might be a little overkill for a street car... Increased NVH due to solid bushings. Griggs makes a front SLA...

Good H/C/I combos for 1994 cobra?

I think the AFR 185's may run into piston to valve clearance problems with a stock bottom end. I would go with the Trick Flows.

    Back to stock build thread

Fixed the problem with the car running rough, which was just me being stupid and plugged the O2 sensors in wrong. Drove the car to Putnam Park in Indiana Thursday, raced all day Friday then drove home. Over 700 miles and no problems....Other than the paint truck painting lines in the rain. My...

    Transmission rebuild questions

Bad Shoe Productions How To Video Series - Ford Transmissions & Rears I highly recommend you buy his T5 rebuild video if you plan on rebuilding it yourself. Well worth the $30. I have some pics from my rebuild in my back to stock thread...

    95 GT running rough

Nah, it was partly O2 related when I had the stock ECU installed. Mainly because the adaptive learning would cause problems after a while I think. The AEM ran off a single wideband, which I had installed in bank 2 but plugged into bank 1. That's why I plugged the stock O2's in wrong. I had them...

    95 GT running rough

Well apparently my brain was completely fried by the time I installed the O2's. They were connected backwards and the car now runs great with them correctly plugged in.

    95 GT running rough

I don't have LT's now, but I did on my last engine. I just thought of something and I feel like an idiot. Does the ECU adjust bank 1 and 2 separate? Because now that I think about I'm pretty sure I have the O2's plugged in backwards. I'll swap those when I get a chance and report back.
