    full length or shorties?

    Just got my long tubes installed... didn't notice any big power gains from my old stock exhaust. Motor is all stock, but i also installed high flow cats and the old exhaust had them removed. If i had to do it again i'd probably just get the shorties, as installing the lt by myself was a PAIN...

    Speedo Problem

    mabey different lube in the cable? I used the kind that came /w teh cable... but it still bounces sometimes. New gear, cable and vss AND speedo. I'm fixing to pull the whole thing again (to do fog light fix) and am going to try shooting lithium grease down the cable this time.

    did you put those engine pull tabs back on? Noticed while taking my old manifolds off the front drivers side and rear passenger side had studs instead of bolts /w what I guess are hooks for pulling the engine. I bought stage 8 locking nuts, but none of them were studs, should I just put them...

    WHY does every starter solenoid KEEP STICKING?!?!?

    Probably a defect in the parts... mabey a whole batch of them came out bad and you keep getting them. Did they come from the same parts store? Same problem /w me... 2 bad solenoids, went to a different store and bought the "premium" $15 one from an oreillies 15 mi north of me.

    What size ffi pulley is everyone ordering? I see 2 5/8 and 2 1/4 as well as a tiny 1 7/8; says max rpm on a 3g should be 15k.

    Alternator Pulley Removal

    the underdrive pully makes the accessories spin less... to free up some power your engine was using to turn them. The pully will only hurt you unless it's smaller than the one ont here now.

    That probably wouldn't work out well /w your combo... judging by the avatar and the name. Might have to get a new block etc, fab motor mounts and such. Not sure if a 302 will fit under that hood...

    That's too good of a deal to pass up there... do you have stuff to weld up hangers for the mufflers? That and welding the flo tubes to the mufflers looks like the only part I need a pro shop for. Waiting on the spintech's to come in the mail... sounds like you might have urself a deal there :)

    Shop by my house (exhaust shop) said they wouldn't install the lt's... it would "cost me too much". But would be happy to put the mufflers in for $225... ouch Slaters quoted about $550 for install of long tubes, h pipe, mufflers and tails. Gonna hit up PA, it's in the ee area I work and...

    Idiot of the day!

    got done /w the brakes once... went to roll out and car didn't want to move. Wasn't sure if I had tighted the drum brakes down too much... gave it a little gas, heard a *SNAP* The plastic wedges I used for blocking the tires were still back there... i crushed one when the car spit it out...

    No joke... Riplies Muffer here in TX ended up staying open an extra hour doing my '63 Pontiac... rusted manifold bolts snapped. 1 hr job took 6hrs... but they stayed open and finished it, only charged me $60 extra to helicoil all the bolts (and didn't charge me for an extra 5 hours labor)

    Interior brake light comes on

    Seen this on a saturn too, didn't see any sensors out back but the brake light was on /w a full resevoir. Replaced drums and pads and it went away.

    My age old problem...SOLVED Please Read!

    Mine crapped out and would cause a miss at 3-4 or 4-5krpm only after the car was warm. Took a while to figure that one out...
