    Removing stock exhaust question.

i also took off the shocks. my bad... but thats only 2 more bolts. its not as much work as everyone makes it out to be. i think i took off 4 bolts and jacked the car up away from the axle. its really not that hard if you know how to use a wrench...

    I need some ideas?!?

i am bringing back this thread... i did what was recommmended by doing a compression test. originally the #3 and #5 cylinders were missing. so i tore the car down(intake hose off and plugs out) so i could check compression. what i found was that the #5 cylinder was only putting out 30 psi...

    GT engine knocking noise advice..help!!!!

i spun a bearing once... you possibly did too... does the noise come and go or is it constantly there... mine was not always noticeable... but either way you would need a bottom end rebuild at the minimum... it was a very low tone knock... do the valve seals in the head as well... take...

    HELP!!! My Mustang has Problems

if you have problems you may have to unbolt the PS reservoir bracket... which would make it easier to get to the sensor and less chance of braking anything... i think there are only (3) 13 mm bolts that hold that on as well(1 bolt, 2 nuts on studs)... it should pull right out of the way without...

MACH 1 SWAP w/ long tubes

00 gt weighs what 3300 lbs(very conservative number). divided by 4. so what 850 lbs per tire(conservative again)... a concrete blocks compression force is alot greater than that. i am aware of the dangers... but i was willing to take that risk!!! i got that tranny on didnt I? haha

MACH 1 SWAP w/ long tubes

yeah i put on the tranny in after the longtubes. like a said it was pretty difficult. especially since i do not have a car lift or a pit... we jacked the car up on 2 concrete blocks in the front and 3 blocks in the back... we also left the motor mounts lose so we could pull the back of the...

MACH 1 SWAP w/ long tubes

i installed MAC longtubes! i had some clearance issues before realizing the steering column needed to be pulled. after that it went right in. just throw some sheets down beside your strut towers and behind the rad support to keep from scrathing them. just take your time when doing it and pull...

    I need some ideas?!?

no i did not pull the heads. i did pull the timing chain off. some may say timing but i set the timing the first time when i rebuilt the bottom end. its extremely easy and everything lines itself up. also a suggestion of a blown head gasket. but i had no problems before the valve seals. so i...

    horsepower numbers

this may be a stupid question... but i will ask it anyways... cause i dont want my motor and all my work to go down the tubes... by MAF you mean the mass air flow sensor... and if so is it as easy as just changing the plug on the intake side of the blower???? which is also not the stock one...
