    it's easy to tell. i know only because i did the 4cy t5 swap to replace my wc t5 when it exploded. the 4cyl t5 will have an input shaft (male end for those that don't know) that will measure 14mm vs 16mm from a v8 t5. WATCH OUT though i've heard of people welding v8 input shafts onto 4cyl...
