    You can always pull the air silencer and use a K&N drop in filter, works pretty well.

    Next time get a estimate of the cost before you give them the go-ahead, that way if its more they have to call you. Anyway dont get too pissed off just chalk it up to experience.

    I like the stock shifter :shrug: No problems with missed shifts... Now getting a decent 60 ft time without wheelhop thats the problem.

    I did the same thing but just yanked it out without disconnecting anything... I have an 03 but I think the air intake is the same?? I did notice a difference after.

    SRT Neons can be fast.... I almost got beat by one in my 03! I didnt have a good run (this was when I was bone stock) still getting used to the car I ran a 13.54 he ran a 13.6 something but my reaction time was much better. This guy has the whole Mopar stage 2 kit or something but 13.6 is damn...

    You have to take your car to the track not read magazine times..... I have a strong running stock 03 cobra (drop in K&N only) The best I could get my first time out was 13.3 @ 107.5 Can I do better? Of course, the bottom line is you have to be an expert racer to match those magazine times...

    Thanks Viper So a 3.4 pulley would not need a chip and would give you 12 pounds boost maybe?? Maybe good for 30 to 40 rwhp?

    My buddy paid a near-Cobra price for a Mach 1

    I looked at the Mach 1s and although they are very nice and fast too the Cobra looks much better (IMO) and of course is faster. Thats why I bought one even when the Mach was much cheaper.
