    you can get 500-600 hp from a 445 kit pretty easy, 4.25" stroke, uses a BBC aftermarket rod. For the future. ;) There are a lot of heads out there now for the FE, maybe some Cammer heads?

    I lived in a rent house with a single car garage and had one 110V outlet at the front of the garage. Unfortunately the panel was in a closet in the middle of the back of the house which was about 1300 sqft. I had a 5hp 60gal single stage oilless compressor as well as a Lincoln AC crackerbox...

    You say there are already plenty of outlets, but are they all on the same circuit? I have 8 outlets in my garage and one convenience outlet just outside and they're on two circuits. I'm planning a 34x36 garage addition and each wall will have at least two circuits on each wall, 4 gang boxes...

    Picture from further back of the panel? Looks like a soffit above from the shadows? If so and it's not too unsightly in your opinion, you could go up from the box on the outside of the house into the soffit, use an LB to make the turn and head to the garage. Looks like you may have 5 spots...

    You have pretty mild climate. As far as exhaust, I'd look into getting some shorty headers with a thick flange at the head and the ball socket type outlet. That's probably what I'll put on my car.

    Oh I'm WELL aware...I would replace the whole inner, use my skins. Doesn't matter, they're not offered. Can't find doors, if you do, they're rusted out on the bottom inner and I've looked for 20+ years (not so much in the last 10-15). It looks like it's new doors for me, or patch the holes...

    Adding door handles back to the red car would be easy, replace the doors. My '65 not only has the front speakers cut into the door, it has rear ones as well.... Grrrr, and they are rust free doors. You can buy skins, but not inners. Here in OKC and Dallas, nice done coupes are in the 12k-18k...

    My 1st Mustang was a '67 vert, bought it in Albuquerque in '87 from a girl. She'd been restoring it, new red interior and new white top, engine and trans rebuilt, it needed body and trim and paint. It was originally a aqua car with aqua interior, but had been painted black... with a brush...

    My 289 had a 1850 Holley and ran good, I picked up a 4100 Autolite to go back on it.

    Ran good but had a knock? Did it knock in park? Auto or manual? That intake will have a carb pad thats good for a Holley only I think (or an Autolite).

    You could take a sand bag and mallet to dome a piece of sheet metal, then just hammer the walnuts out on some flat plate and weld that into the apron. It wouldn't be seen much from the engine compartment and it'll keep road grime out of the engine bay. Looking good!

    Hate to say it, but you're not going to have a forever fix, the issue will still be there as time of repaint and it'll likely be worse. You've got to get rid of the rust, which means it needs to be cut out. Yes there are epoxy bonding agents that would mean no filling, but they require overlap...
