    'If I'm not mistaken, any 79 up rears are interchangable. BUT, like was mentioned, there are differences in length. Before you order one, do some calling/searching around for the lengths. i wouldn't just go by everyone's opinions.

    The labor for having my gears, T-Lok, rear axle seals all replaced was $150. You HAVE TO look around for a shop that does a lot of rear end work. That way, they are experts, do this kind of work all the time, don't take forever doing it, and therefor don't charge you much.

    You have to remove the rear seat back on a vert, and remove the rear seat bottoms on both vert/coupe. Then remove the push pins to get the panel off. I'm not really sure, as I haven't had a coupe in a long time now. Anyone else can chime in at any point now. :shrug:

    The 7.5" rear end can take 300 HP/Tq. There's no need to upgrade the whole rear end like that. Just go with some gears and a T-Lok.

    Pop the cover and start poking at it with a screwdriver. Remove the rear quarter panel in order to access the mechanism if it is a coupe.

    You have to use some amount of common sense when comparing 15, 16" steel rims to light weight 17", 18" rims. When comparing same manufactured materials in regard to circumference, the smaller rim wins in the rotational mass department.
