    I doubled checked the push rod length and you can see the wear pattern in the center of the valve...not sure why the guides are worn

    FOUND THE PROBLEM...photos!!!!! pulled the intake valves and look at all the oil i found under the seal...guides are worn a little.

    The changes made were heads and intake...everything else stayed the same. It didn't start right away....it very slowly started...and its only at idle...as soon as I rev it up and hold it up there there is no smoke.

    RHS 200 cast iron heads....I have pulled some springs and the seals are tight....could this come from the pcv system?

    Heads were brand new never used. I have the heads pulled and both look the same seal wise..just the pass side cylinders are all black

    No...not new engine. Has about 30k on it...heads are new. Didn't smoke right away...the heads have about 1000 miles on them.

    pulled the plugs and the pass side cylinders all are black from oil. drivers side all look normal. TAKE YOUR BEST GUESS!!!! i'm lost thanks :shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:

    I have an oil burning problem but this one is a little different. I pulled all the plugs and the pass side are all black with oil and the drivers side is normal light brown. The burning is mostly at idle and is clean when revved and kept at 3000 rpms or so. as the reves come down the blue...
