    4.10 gears question

    Not at all! You just need to relearn how to launch. I'm a daily driver w/ 4.10's and Kumho 712 245/45-17's which aren't known for there hooking ability. I can launch alright on them, but haven't hardly practiced at all.

    Yes they are. An aquintance of mine ordered a pair to weld into his AT catback, and they sounded the same. He called Flowmaster and questioned them and the tech he talked to said that they were the same but just painted black. :shrug:

    Well, the Super 40's and the mufflers in the American Thunder catback are the same mufflers. The only difference is the Super 40's are painted black. OFF TOPIC: I love my MAC Flowpaths. I'm glad I got rid of my Flow's.

    I think the 5.4 is wider and has a different angle. I don't think it will work. Just get yours ported and polished and go with some cams.

    Well, I'm just saying that I've heard others say that when comparing the FRPP 4.10's and the ??? (cant remember the company) 3.90's. That the FRPP's were a little stronger because of the slight differences in production processes. Like I said, I've heard.

    like tangerine said, it is just a traction issue when running 4.10's and forced induction. Unless you are running slicks, which you won't be on the street. 4.10's and a Kenne Bell aren't the ideal street combo because a KB makes full boost @ 2K and would probably kill even the best street...

    I went with 4.10's and I drive 25 miles of highway to get to work everyday. It's really not that bad. Doing 65 is about 2300 rpm in 5th. I got an average of 23-24 mpg on a 1600 mile round trip to Illinois with them. That is also alot of mountains too. My best was 25-26 mpg in that stretch...

    I've had mine on for over a year and no problems at all. You could wrap it in something like heat shrink to keep the elements off and it would be good for a long time. Sounds like a great price too. :nice:

    I thought about that, considering you could make 2 for under $2-$4. Probably 1 for under $2. Charge half price of what everyone else charges and make a good $25 off of one pair after everything. Just make sure you can solder decently.

    I think what you are talking about is the "echoing" from the empty pipe where that cats use to be. That is what I hear w/ mine anyway.
