Damn those look good. Well I got about $400 saved up (don't have a real job yet) so this makes me feel a little better. How much would the rubber for those things cost?
N/A.. 4.10........... S/C 3.73............I think that about settles it. I will be getting 3.73s then because I plan to blow my car, once I get it......errr ..by blow I mean super or turbo of course.
Sorry for the hijack but can someone enlighten me as to how a different shifter is considered a mod? I see all the time in people's sig, "steeda tri ax shifter" or others like it. Does that in anyway improve the cars shifting ability or something?
If it is that bad then buy a new one.....if it is only noticable when you are washing the damn thing then maybe it will be okay...How big of a scratch are we talking? Pics?
Well I love the 65 to pieces but there is too much to do. I was going to put all the things in to make it like a modern car, PB, PS, A/C, and it just makes sense to start out with a better car. I will return to the world of classics one day.
Yeah but money is the biggest thing, is a GT cheaper than a Cobra? I think that the GT is less expensive and not as fast but I could be wrong...either way money is the biggest thing here.
Well I was thinking 97-99 GT....I want coupe not CV amd black so if anyone sees something along these lines for cheap...then PM me
Thanks for the help, I am only 15 so it is not a right away need as we will fix up the 65 to sell before we get the newer one...I am sad needless to say but I...
I usually post in classics and I will sadly have to cut my project short and sell her probably this summer. I will be on the lookout for a newer model mustang with a 4.6 obviously. I don't have much money and will probably get around 7-8K for this one. What is a good base car to start with that...
Well are you married to the original engine and tranny or could you live with dumping those and getting a new engine and tranny? You Could make more power with a 347 and 5 speed if you do your homework....your call
Well my roof had a few bubbles from a cheap, half ass job from last time. This time I will be in charge of getting the shop for paint......it will not look like the crap pile it does now. BTW Barton, what happened to American Racing Blue? I see in the sig that you are going with Viper GTS...
I believe that is only for the explorer rear....you can bolt in an 8 or 9 and try to find a good deal on rear discs if you'd rather...i am only going for the explorer rear because of the discs and because the gearing is right about what I need. I want TTII's and because the gaps are so wide, i...
check www.fordsix.com, great forum and they also have the carburetor and header you will need. And you can check either www.mustansplus.com or www.mustangdepot.com both of which will have the bumpers and regulators you will need.
Weclome to the world of classics...the mustang has an enormous...
front discs suffice just fine but 4 wheels has minimal improvement in stopping power depending on how much pressure is applied to the rear discs with the proportioning valve. It also looks nicer....If you don't plan on having entirely too much power then you should consider the explorer...
