    Kenne Bell opinions

I have a short clip of my car on the dyno if you want to hear what it sounds like. http://www.2rdrilling.com/kb.wmv

    X is a Windsor, W is a Romeo???

I have heard that too. The only way to know for sure is to count the valve cover bolts.

    KB Dynoed at last

Great numbers. Looks like they are right in line with the other KB numbers that have been posted. What other mods do you have besides the KB? Hurry up and post those graphs before they string you up.

    X is a Windsor, W is a Romeo???

I know the X represents the Mustang 4.6 SOHC from either plant on 99's and up. I don't know about the other cars. Typical VIN Position Number Position 1-3.. World Manufacturer Identifier Position 4.... Restraint System Type Brake Type and GVWR Class (Trucks and Vans Only)...

    X is a Windsor, W is a Romeo???

96-98 have Romeo motors and have a W in the 8th vin position. In 99-00 they went to Windsor motors and that letter in the vin changed to X because of the increase in horsepower. 01 and up still retain the X because the horsepower rating is the same even though they changed to Romeo motors. So...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

What is bull? 20 psi? That might have been an exageration on the guy that told me about it but he was testing the limits of the stock 4.6 2v motor. The way my quote above reads it sounds like I was implying that it was with a KB, it was not. KB may only sell up to a 14 psi pulley but with a...

    Rear Brake Caliper tool?

I think almost any autoparts store will have one. They are pretty generic. I had to grind down 2 of the corners quite a bit to make it fit correctly.

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

The KB blower on my car which is the same on the GT kit is a 1.7L. If their website states it is a 1.5L it is wrong. I dont think they don't want you to put a 2.2L on a stock 4.6 2v motor. It would be too easy to push the motor too far. In fact I bet they don't want you running 17-20 psi on...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

Yep that was me. I filled up at a Flying J on the drive out to Phoenix because that is where our caravan stopped. My thought was the gas is cheap for a reason. So I figured if I am going to run at the track I should either throw in some octane booster or mix in some race gas so I won't worry and...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

I made a bunch more power when the timing was bumped up to 22 degress with 94 octane. But they pulled at least 5 degrees out for the 91 tune. I believe the most my tune will do is like 17 degrees in optimum conditions whatever that is. Out of curiosity does anyone know what range of timing the...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

I run my Kenne Bell @ 9 psi with pump gas. CA 91 octane. That is what my tune from KB is setup for. If I want to run 10 psi, I need at least 1.5 more octane or have it retuned to pull some timing out. KB has a performance guide with some general information for Turbos and Superchargers. Great...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

The Camaro hit me in my door and pushed the door and my arm into my upper rib/chest area. Actually I am a little banged up. Bruised ribs and sore muscles still. Tod the Camaro driver turned it into his insurance. The claim review board has yet to go over it. Tod has been real good at...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

One thing to add here is I have no other mods besides the Kenne Bell @ 9 psi, a Magnaflow catback and Nitto dr's. It is only tuned for 91 octane. Besides being a rookie I ran those times on the stock 3.27 gears. No headers, o/r pipes, suspension mods, nothing else. Full tank of gas, with all my...

    Finally....KB dyno numbers

Suggestion: If your goal is track times get all the upgrades. Switch chip, 90mm MAF, big tube kit, 75 mm throttle body and thier CAI. I don't have the switch chip. My car is detuned for 91 octane. I still make 400 rwhp and 410 rwtq @ 9 psi. No other mods on my car other than a Magnaflow catback...

Nitto dr's vs. bfg dr's for my daily driver

Yep, that is the range you should get with them. You might even do a bit better if you are getting as low as 1.9's stock.
  17. B C

Nitto dr's vs. bfg dr's for my daily driver

Nitto's are cheaper and last almost twice as long from what I understand. I have Nitto's now and am going to try BFG's next time just to see what I prefer.
  18. B C

Nitto dr's vs. bfg dr's for my daily driver

You can run them at 30 psi on the street and they will hook at least 10X better than the stock Goodyears although that isn't saying much since a bicycle tire would hook better than those POS Eagles. The DR's are super soft and sticky. They stick to the ground and also they stick to anything and...

    Kenne Bell 2v Mustang Dyno

Great numbers. You are the first I have seen to have a lower peak rwtq than rwhp from a KB. What other mods (if any) do you have?

    Global West lower Control Arms

Their products seem to be top notch. I am going with their competition subframes and probably would have went with their LCA's if I didn't already have some. I would give them a call and talk to one of their Engineers or tech guys.
