    I have 17" X 8" rims on the back of my 65 with 4½" backspacing. They have a deep lip. I did have to trim the rear fender lip though.

    watter from exhaust?

    i had the same problem, it was the intake gasket. it was clear water with no smell dripping from both exhaust pipes. I am guesing that the heat from the exhaust boils out the antfreeze????

    If you are not set on that particular brand you could go with Coy C-5's. They look almost identical and are availabe in 17 x 7. I put 17 x 8 with 4.½ B.S. on the rear of my 65 and 17 x 7 4¼ B.S. on the front

    They might work if you use 1"spacers, that would make 4.5" backspace. I am running 245/45/17 with 4.5 backspacing, and had to roll the fenders. you will probably have to go with smaller tires
