    PLENUM RESULTS ARE IN!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for doing this. Again! Good reads. What was the difference between the stock plenum and the accufab combo @ 4300 rpm? Just wondering, because Ken mentions the Accufab combo made "up to 6 rwhp / 8 rwtq" more than the other three (TF, C & L, Dragon.) I am going to speculate the accufab...

    "Dragon" Plenum Dyno results.................

I almost wonder if the plenum/TB combo maybe just helps to broaden the hp & tq curve, providing bigger gains over stock at areas under the peaks. The reason I am speculating is that I honest-to-god felt this modification. The real test for me will be this spring when I hit the strip. If I run...

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

Thanks for the info. I couldn't help but notice they only used 3 quarts of fluid??? Is this accurate, or am I mis-reading one of the part numbers?

    Official Tremec 3650 Issues Thread

When I called Tremec in January 2004, they told me the fill level was 4 quarts of Mercon (?V) or Mobil One Synth ATF fluid. How recently did they tell you to lower the fluid level and what were the specifics? Did you speak to Tremec directly?

Put 18's on, car shakes at high speeds?

There is a way to properly balance a tire using sticky weights on the inside of the rim, but most shops aren't too great at using this method. You'll have better luck just getting them balanced the traditional way.

Are the stock 2001 Bullitt mustang rims exactly the same as the stock 2001 GT rims?

I'm about ready to order these 17 x 9 rims: http://www.wheelreplicas.com/newbullit.htm but I'm just not sure if these are the same as my stock GT Premium bullitt rims. I want these rims to match my stock 17 x 8 rims, but I just don't know if the stock bullit mustang rims are/were the same as...

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

It's not a PERFECT comparison; but it's also not that bad either for the reasons I cited above. We'll agree to disagree - how bout that?

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

Like I said, it's not a perfect comparison, but there are many variables that have been neutralized by correcting the numbers to SAE and using a Dynojet dyno. What we really don't quite know is what other modifications were on each car when they were dynoed. And yes; I'd love to see Bill's...

    Trick flow whistle

My accufab plenum also eliminated the rear "teardrop" you referred to, and it doesn't whisle. Some people speculate that the whistle noise might come from the TB and not necessarily from the plenum. Do you have a BBK TB? I've got the accufab 70mm TB.

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

I think this is very interesting . . . thanks for posting. It almost does seem like you'd practically have to shift well after the redline (6000? 6300?) in order to really get the most out of a car with LTs. Is this what people with LTs do when drag racing (at the 1/4 mi track)? Also, do most...

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

Well, let's break this down a little. The first graph shows peak gains of 26 rwhp and 31 rwtq from three modifications: LT headers (vs. stock manifolds) o/r X pipe (vs. stock h-pipe) catback (vs. stock catback) How would you allocate the gains? LTs - 10 / 13 X pipe - 10/10...

    Question about 4.10s

From memory - first gear tops out (redlines) at around 22 mph with 4.10s vs. about 27 mph with 3.27s. So you're going around 14 mph at 3000 rpm. Use the calculators and you'll get more exact answers. Don't worry about 4.10s - just get 'em!

Long Tubes a waste on N/A cars.

Are your hp numbers corrected or uncorrected? The just seem really high given your mods. What mph are you running in the 1/4 mi? I would expect if you are making over 250 you must regularly be 101-ish. FWIW, I think that one dyno graph does tell the story. Check out the gains after the...

    Super 40s Installed!...(review enclosed)

excellent choice! :nice: I love my Deltaflow 40 series mufflers! You said that "everyone buys flows" . . . I beg to differ. I think that's internet mustang folklore. :rlaugh: If you took a poll of modular mustangs, I'd bet the bulk of these stangs (with an aftermarket CB or muffler) do...

    Idle Misfortune

Could be a bad TPS. . . Or a bad/dirty IAC valve (some guys clean this and have good results How long have you had that BBK CAI on your car? Did you (can you) still use the stock air screen with this CAI? Might want to do a quick swap of your old intake and see if it straightens out the...

Going to Dyno Take a guess before I go!!

I'll assume we're all talking about a Dynojet and the numbers are corrected to SAE. Stock corrected (SAE) hp - 223 rwhp K&N air filter removed stock snorkle - 1 rwhp Accufab 70 MM TB - 4 RWHP Accufab Plenum - 4 RWHP C&L 85mm MAF - 2 RWHP C&L Inlet tube - 2 RWHP Bassini Catted X pipe -...

    Is a Aluminum Driveshaft Noisy???

I have a 5-speed and yes, I think there is more driveline noise than before the addition of my FMS alum. ds. I thought the alum ds was only supposed to dampen vibration (it does) and I would expect aluminum to amplify noises, however. It's not crazy-loud, but there is defintely more driveline...

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

00Blackbeauty - see this thread I started earlier this week: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=426317 I didn't even bother to check the TPS with a voltmeter like I planned. I just swapped the TPS and secured the new screws supplied by Accufab. No problems whatsoever - idles the...

Installed my Accufab TB / Plenum today

I am really glad I bought this these pieces. Not only do they look great, but like many others I also felt a little extra kick, expecially from 3000 - 5500 range. I felt nothing really from my Steeda pullies, but I can honestly say there's a few more horses pulling my stang after these mods...
