    help with c4 swap

Does it start and rev lights work at this point? If so, just push in the clutch to start the car. Check to make sure it is in neutral or park when you do so. Tape off the other wires and move on. I think the T-5 did have a neutral sensor for the cruise control. The clutch pedal 3rd wire is...

car runs bad after installing new lifters and 1.7 rockers

Check the timing! You cant just restab a dist and expect it to be spot on. If your lifters are too tight, the motor will sound lazy. Too much lash wouldnt sound like you have described.

Something is funky with my battery.

You are going to show a certain ohm reading depending on the load on the other side. You need to set your meter to a higher ohm scale until you can read the ohms. It doesnt sound like you have a direct short. You may have some sort of load that is staying on (headlight, foglight, fan motor, or a...

    help with c4 swap

To make it legal track wise and restore factory operation, extend the clutch start switch to the tranny neutral start. Two wires, doesnt matter the order, it is just an open or close. You can remove the clutch pedal and just have the 2 pedals. My car was a 5 speed factory car and is now an...

How much total timing do you guys run?

Mav, I think that your total timing is hurting your power. As long as you arent overheating or detonating, then you are good as far as injuring the motor. My timing was set that high when I first ran my car. Setting it back to a sane level helped the car pick up all the way around (race track)...

How much total timing do you guys run?

Total timing is base timing plus advance. This is read with a dialback timing usually at about 3600 rpm. The computer and dizzy will add the timing through the advance mechanisims.

possibly you should refer this question to a turbo mustang website? Seems no one is biting here. Might just be the holiday weekend.

Something is funky with my battery.

Those wires feed the interior of your car through your fuse box. Remove fuses one by one until you eliminate the drain.

I dont rember my seat weighing over 30-40lbs. I weighed everything I took out of my car. In typical fashion, I lost my notes.

How much total timing do you guys run?

Last time I checked, I run around 36 total timing. I've been told that 32-36 is optimal in a racing type engine with no octane limits. You'll have to time your car to see what works best for your engine.

    help with c4 swap

If using an aftermarket shifter, you can get rid of the stock wiring on the tranny and use the two micro switches that come with the shifter.

Attn: people w/Foxes and crappy seatbelts..?

If it is not DOT stamped, then it is not DOT/Street legal (5 point). Even my late 00 taurus had the spring retraction problem. The belt did grab under an accident situation. My wife tested it. I also tested my 14year old truck belts and they worked fine. I dont see why any ford brand belt...

    Is this turbo too big?

It is not at a bad price most I see are more expensive that that. They have a pedestal oil feed and the exhaust flange is missing. What size engine would that be good on (remember gas applications!).

taking off starter please help with top bolt

Wobble extensions help as well. The male end is not totally square and it will allow some pivot, just like a universal but not as bulky and not quite as much motion. Harbor frieght has these pretty cheap. Otherwise snap on or some real tool place should have them. Never seen them at the home...

    How do I.....

If I remember right, you have to squeeze the dickens out of those two tabs. disconnect the cable from the cruise sensor and it will give a bit more slack. This is my experience with another ford, should be very similar on the stang. Mine did not have a cable when I got it, nor does it now.

so are 87 and 88 stangs pretty much pointless to mod??

The gears wont affect the computer at all. There are the MAF, the computer and a bit of wiring modifications.

do fox bodys have tilt steering???

Exactly, if you want tilt, then you need a non-airbag steering column. Forgot what year is airbag, but you could swap it out if you want it badly enough.
