    upr or pypes stainless?

From 2003- early 2006 the Pypes off road X-pipe and UPR off road X-pipe were made by the same manufacturer. Pypes X's had reinforcement plates at the X. Otherwise they were identical. In 2006, we made our entire line of X-pipes modular and soon after converted to stainless. The basic...

    Pypes Beast W/Off-Road X pipe

FYI, The 'BEAST' package is simply the Pypes Violator Catback combined with a Pypes off-Road X-pipe. It's a sales kit that Pypes asks dealers to promote. Both kits are stainless. The catback utilizes the Violator muffler which has great flow like a Magnaflow muffler but a chambered sound...

    Pypes Beast W/Off-Road X pipe

If you want to give advice that someone would consider of value, why not say 'i had trouble installing my Pypes' and then explain the problem instead of making a gross mistatement infering that all pypes products don't fit.

There are no leak issues if you use a gasket sealer. The shorties are also very difficult to install. There is very limited space.

Yes! I agree! That's great advice to a fellow member. Tell him what he should have done instead of offering any help. :nonono:

    Pypes Mid Muffler install HELP!

Have a look at this pic. the curved end of the first pipe goes toward the mufflers and outward. With our first prototypes, this pipe was just a straight pipe and it still fit but not as good. http://pypesexhaust.com/gallery/gallery120-02.jpg

    Pypes Mid Muffler install HELP!

I'm sorry you are having problems with that system. It is one of our harder systems to install because it is so many pieces. If just one pipe is twisted the wrong way even a couple of degrees, it throws the alignment out completey. A lot of times shops just get frustrated and take matters in...

    conversion exhaust

$79 is too much for the GT take offs. Look on ebay and find them consistantly for under $50. At shows, $30/pr. You can take those mufflers to a shop to have them finish the system for you but be careful you don't spend more than $270 AND make sure they use stainless pipe(which is rare) or it...

Which is the most aggresive sounding exhaust

I understand what you are saying about the price being the same without the mufflers. However, it's not that we overcharge for the kit without the mufflers, it's the dealers that are placing a zero value on the take off's and including them for free since they are loaded with them. Did you...

Which is the most aggresive sounding exhaust

The only difference with the kit I mention and your idea is the one extra midpipe. We'd have to make a special 2.25" pipe to match the other side and put the flat spot in to match for proper flow through both pipes. That would end up costing more than what Pypes offers now. Also, don't...

Which is the most aggresive sounding exhaust

If you want it without the mufflers, it's Pypes #SFM65 available from several different dealers. However I noticed the price is still $299. I guess there isn't much value placed on the GT take off's! :( At least the shipping would be cheaper.

Which is the most aggresive sounding exhaust

There's another option that is worth considering. Pypes makes a true dual muffler delete system. It is designed to utilized factory GT take off mufflers. It's not real loud but I think it sounds most like a V8. New Take-Off - Mustang

    catted x-pipe? bbk, pypes, bassani...

Good point. If you only replace one cat, it should be the same cat. If you go with the Pypes cats, you'll need to buy both. They aren't sold separately for that reason. Pypes is a 200 cell cat. It's possible yours is a 300 cell and you don't want to mix one of each.

    exhaust question

The Dynomax SuperTurbos are VERY quiet. In fact they are the quietest performance Muffler on the market. The Violator is one of the loudest. However, a siamese x-pipe like the Pypes X has a tendancy to quiet the car down a bit over a comparable H pipe. That being said, it's going to be a...

Once again, has anyone seen any dyno tests b4/after cats?

Keep in mind that high flow cats have minimal effect on performance. On a 225hp small cam 5.0, our Dyno tests only measured a 2.2 hp improvement with the cats removed. Now a 500hp motor could experience up to a 10hp drop but you still got a lot of power there unless you are trying to shave...

    Pypes V. Magnaflow help!

Dark, I take it from your sig tag I'm barking up the wrong tree here. :) However, here goes. I don't see why manufacturers can't come on these forums and contribute also. Don't you think we are qualified to give advice on such topis? If by default we get some 'advertising' value from...
