    Powerslot Rotors

I have had power slot rotors on my car before. Powerslot brand rotors are an OEM rotor with slots cut into the face of the rotor. Baer, Brembo, and Stoptech all make superior quality rotors that are better than Powerslot. Remember, you get what you pay for and that is especially true when it...

    Going to Mid america?

Any one else going to the mid america shelby meet? Ijust went to registration and it looks like it's going to be a hell of a show. I'm signed up for Hallet on Friday and Saturday. Let me know if you're going to be there. It would be nice to finally meet up with some fellow StangNet members.

    Top speed

I thought it was at the salt flats but hey, I can't remember what I had for lunch two days ago so who knows? It was not on a public road. That I am sure of. Now that my brain has had time to seep a little, I think the driver of the car said that he wasn't suppose to peak it out in 5th but he did...

    Mods, mods everywhere...

Well, if you're just terrorizing your home town then I'd stick with the mods that serve multiple purposes. Stuff like lower control arms are only good if you're drag racing and unless someone that really knows these cars comes along, you'll probably be the only one who knows they're there. So...

    Top speed

I seem to remember an old magazine article about the windveil blue Vortech company car. Unless I'm mistaken; and the article was quite long ago, they said a stock '05 with just an intercooled vortech will pull 5th gear and it toped out at 193MPH. I've had mine to the rev limiter in fourth and it...

    Mods, mods everywhere...

Talk about opening a can of worms! You're gonna get a million different answers on this. How about some more info? Is your stang a daily driver? What do you do with it; car shows, road racing, drag racing? I can think of very few mods that will please everyone regardless of their interests.

    BMR Lowering Kit??

I have the BMR lower control arms, adj. panhard bar, and 3rd link. All top quality stuff and built to take any abuse you can give it. I bought all of my stuff before they had the new lowering kit but I've basically got the same thing albeit with Eibach springs instead of BMR. The ride is...

Does anyone have the Konig beyond series wheels?

I had Konig Beyonds on mine until I installed the new brakes. Now they won't fit. I loved the look of the wheels but I had a problem with them shedding the center caps. The caps snap onto a plastic ring that in turn snaps into the wheel center. I guess they are susceptible to temperature changes...

Cobra + NOS = blown motor

With a MOD motor the "hook it up right and you're good, hook it up wrong and you're f**ked" thing goes for pretty much any mod that gives over 20 HP. With a power adder, it's ALWAYS in the install and the tune.

    stripes are on!

Yep, wider IS better. Did I just quote a Pontiac ad? Oh crap, I'm sure to banned from the site now! Seriously, looks good on the car, but do the rockers too.

Of course, I'm talking about my car.

    Attention, I Love Attention.....

 I'm not sure how a story about my phallic symbol laden car and a related embarrassing story could be interpreted as a slam on other Mustang owners but I assure you no slams were intended. It may be short and stubby, but it does fire on all EIGHT cylinders.

    Attention, I Love Attention.....

Yea, she knows what kind of car it is but I guess it's the same concept. One of these days I'll work up the courage to ask her for her psychological evaluation of the meaning of my short throw shifter!

Brembos kick butt, cooling ducts suck!

I would suspect that those restrictive bends in the elbows are there to clear the same obstructions that I had a problem with. I agree on the price, but having been under the car trying to plumb it all up, the Agent 47 kit looks better engineered to me.

Brembos kick butt, cooling ducts suck!

Hey, who hijacked my brake thread and turned into a tire discussion? Bad Northy Polk, Bad, Bad! I'm really not sure what you're talking about with the whole unstable in high speed corners thing. Are you turning 130 in the corners or something? I know the KD is more optimised for dry cornering...

Brembos kick butt, cooling ducts suck!

I'm sure they're not as good as KDs, but dangerous? Tell that to the C5's who can't keep up with me. They're a great multi use tire. Sure, they're not a track tire, but they do fine at the track for a street tire and if it rains on the way home I don't have to park the car and bum a ride. If I...

    Understeer at speed?

Good for you. Here, this should help. Check the chart. Some of it, like the rear toe, is not relavent to our cars. I don't know about autocross, but for open track I run 32 psi cold. ( 39 to 40 psi hot) It's a heavy car and I find that with much less the tires start to roll under...
