    I've had this happen about twice since I have had my '11. I thought it was something I did, but its kinda hard to repeat. Normally my engine fires up just as fast as any other I've owned, actually a little faster than some of them. :D When it happened it felt almost as though the key was stuck...

    I'm not an engineer, but considering the make up of the tank itself, I would want the shield. I'm surprised they didn't sandwich in some form of aluminum in the shield, but even that wouldn't have stopped a high speed tire iron. That shield was never designed to stop completely the obstacle...
