    yep thats the harness I was talking about, and the gauges are on that harness, when I unplugged that harness, got nothing out of the car, so you may need to keep it, I was thinking of getting mechanical gauges, I took my oil and temp sending units from my old engine, temp worked, but the oil didnt.

    You can keep all of the accessories, gauges etc. are you tring to keep the stock ignition, or going msd, you can keep your stock but sooner or later you need to upgrade, for the stock ignition there is only one wire you need, it is off the main harness on the passenger side firewall, I believe...

    or you can just use a hi volume oil pressure regulator to keep your existing fuel setup (for now), also just found out that MSD makes a stand alone igniton setup that doesnt need the stock computer, comes with dis, and ignition module for around $450.

    What 351W Block?

    agreed, even an older block 69-74 can't handle a whole lot of power, I mean a 351 should be able to hold around 650hp safely, not rwhp, these are still passenger car motors, so they were not built to handle alot of power, if you want more than that, a dart block is my suggestion.

    thax guys for the help, called summit and they have an independant setup, a ign module and dist. for around 459.00, it totally bypasses the stock computer and is made for carbs.

    thanx for the replies, nother question, will I need all of the efi stuff, like all of the sensors, can I just get all of the fuel and air parts, like tb, injectors, o2 sensors etc., or will I need everything to go thru the cycle.
