    Traction Bars and Sway Bars...

It could feel like wheel hop. Its a stutter in acceleration, caused from the engine torquing over which can feel like wheel hop. I will say that this might be an issue if your motor mount decided to let go right after to installed the limited slip. To test, you can start the engine and watch...

    Traction Bars and Sway Bars...

How are your motor mounts? A weak drivers side mount could cause a wheel hop feeling. A torque strap could help or a solid mount on the drivers side. We run a bolt through the two pieces on the mounts to keep the rubber from separating. I learned this trick from John at Opentracker. this...

    289 popping

do you have old spark plug wires? Maybe the spark is arching between wires and firing multiple cylinders at the same time off timing. If you have the engine running at night without light you can see it happen, spark jumping across wires. Cool looking but causes popping and jerky driving...

    Aluminum Rad for 68 Cleavor

I used an aluminum cross-flow from a fox body and swapped for a 1970 water pump with the inlet on the other side to match up with the radiator. I run a 3000cfm electric fan with a 408 Clevor and don't have any heat issues...anymore.

    Starter Wiring help

It doesn't matter if you have two wire relays. I have both of mine. And, the Mopar guys have a relay built in on their starters and they sometime add a Ford relay. It's hard to jump a starter from under the car. I agree that your I and S wires are crossed, considering you said it would crank...

    8.8 rear in a 65

I just finished up installing a 2003 8.8 in my 66. The tires stick out about 1.25" per side but I'm using deep backspacing wheels. 66runt has some very good information. I agree on the driveshaft length for the fox. I am at this stage with my project. I'm going t use my existing driveshaft...

    454s on a 66

Nick, I run a 205/40-17 on a 17x8 with 4.75bs on my daily driver 63 wagon without any curb rash. A 205/50-17 tire has 7.8+/- tread width depending on what brand. I suppose on a 66 with the 4.25 454s with the front control arms brought all the way inward and a vario-centric camber kit...

    454s on a 66

Capt, a 4.25 bs 8" wheel will bolt on. You should run a narrower tire, and possibly need to roll the fender lips. It will look similar to taking a 4.75 wheel and using a 1/2" spacer widening your track width except it will have a deeper dish. Given all that, if you can find a tire that is...

My build log: 66 coupe, will be 4.6L DOHC

Alight, you're a tall one. I removed the driver's side seat riser and added some reinforcement underneath to get head clearance. The fuse box in the trunk is a clean idea. You will need longer wires or try a trunk mount painless (painfull) kit. You are correct about the shifter mod...

I guess you all got this figured out already.

    454s on a 66

Better to go with a 4.75 or 4.5 bs.

Now this picture makes me think you might be able to fit a 17x9 up front. Find someone local that has a wheel and tire to the specs you want that you could do a test fit on. Maybe have some different size spacers to test with, and prop the fender up to make sure you have outward clearances...

Does this mean I can fit a 17x9 wheel up front?

Maybe if you used a 245 or narrower tire up front, may need to limit your turning radius a little too.

Does this mean I can fit a 17x9 wheel up front?

You and I have discussed this before. I know your picture might look like your 17x9s will work, and you are running a non stock suspension. Let's start with what we know, 17x8 with 4.75 bs will work on the front of a 66. You want to run a 17x9 with 6" of bs. On a stock suspension you would...

Which rearend gear do you think???

what t56 will work with my application

Hope this isn't too much information. Centered a Viper T56 behind a Ford T5 blow proof bellhusing, which has more surface area to mate the tranny behind that a stock T5 bell. Mated a Ford bronze pilot bushing and a standard Mopar pilot bearing. A Spec stage 3 clutch for Ford TKO already...
