    Door Reassembly. On-car or off-car??

Thanks for the responses. seems like the consensus is to do it on the car. For those that have done it on-car, has there been any noticable 'droop' in the door once all the gear has been reassembled. I've got new bushes and pins in my hinges so I don't relly see it being a problem for me...

    Door Reassembly. On-car or off-car??

Hi Everyone, I'm nearing the point of door reassembly on my '65 coupe and I'm wondering if it's easier to reassemble the glasss/locks before or after I bolt the door to the car.(I personally think it's going to be a nightmare either way!) Hints and tips from anyone who has attempted either...

    Rear Steer MII!?

I'm not sure of the engine bay dimensions of the '70, but in my '65 I have the engine 3.75" back from standard and it's hard up on the firewall - and my firewall has been altered to suit the RHD conversion so with a standard firewall you wouldn't even be able to go back that far. Going too low...

brake fluid turns to mud why..?

I'd be checking the flexible components of the system, they can allow moisture into the system if they deteriorate. Moisture = corrosion, Braided lines pretty much eliminate this. I think I've seen reccomendations to flush the system yearly, although I do my road car every time I change all...

    Strut Conversion

I'm pretty sure Marshall has a set of RRS struts (& rack) in his '66, maybe he can shed some light. RRS comes across as a very professional outfit, don't know about the others. RRS also has a 'notch kit' that you can use to trim away the unnecessary parts of the tower to give you a bit more...

Help identify some of these parts please...

could be the horn, a lot of other bits are 'front end'. Could also be the backing bucket for the turn indicators/backup lights.

    66 sedan delivery?

I've seen a better attempt somewhere once, by using a coupe - didn't look too bad. I've also seen a ute version, looked good in the pic but I got a 1:1 veiw one day and it was pretty rough. The one on Ebay looks :barf: :notnice:

    Vacuum issues....

It's not high revs that get the job done, its high load. High revs should be avoided initially. Get the tuning done quickly, then hammer it. You only get one go at the run-in, do it before it's too late.

Fuel System Design - from the ground up

I have had a look at an EFI pump from a Falcon which I could possibly adapt to suit, although it's not deep enough to use it's integrated level gauge. Might have to take a trip to the wreckers and have a look at some others.

    Rotisserie Recommendations Needed.

Just for ideas (pretty agricultural, but it works :D )

Speaking of Electric windows, how did you end up getting them? (Electric Life I presume). I need to locate some in the near future. Did you get them for all 4 or just the front?

Fuel System Design - from the ground up

Ok, here's the story. My '65 is approaching the final stages of its complete rebuild - among other things it's time for the fuel system. Originality is not even close to being an issue here! Initially I will be running a 4 barrel Autolite but eventually I will be stepping up to EFI so I am...

    custom backseat

A couple of years ago I was setting up the retractable seat belts for my '65 and had to sit in the back seat to line everything up. There ain't much room in there!! I was sitting on the factory seat and my head was touching on the roof - and there was no roof lining. So when it comes time to...

    Cylinder head dowel pins

Direct from your local Ford dealer - that's where I got mine. (although I'm not sure if you can get them individually, mine were in a plug & dowell kit)

    Aod Not Shifting To Forth???!!

No Idea. Probably best to give them a call and describe to them what it's doing, they might be able to give you a ballpark figure. My experience is that autos are never cheap to fix, but unless yours is making wierd noises then it might just be a tuning issue (if there is any tuning with AOD's...

    kilometer sticker

I'm just going with electronic aftermarket gauges for my '65. Not sure about the NSW road regs but here you can get special registration and leave the car LHD, but it can only be used (technically) for car club events. If you're going to the trouble of converting it to RHD there's a few places...

    kilometer sticker

Haven't seen any stickers, maybe the German Exports had them. Approximations only, but... 40mph = 60kph 60mph = 100kph 100mph = :D (but only on the racetrack!) You get used to it pretty quickly. Whereabouts are you moving to?

    Aod Not Shifting To Forth???!!

Going by the descriptions above, it is an AOD. If it's factory original (the gearbox that is) then they have well-known shortcomings, which can be fixed with $$. A common factory prob is the 3rd/od clutch packs wearing out. http://www.lentechautomatics.com/aodhome.html might be able to...
