    HPX Ignition

Just doing a bit of research the other day and came across this website: http://www.electromotive-inc.com/products/hpx.html I was just wondering if anyone here has used this multi-coil, crank-fired setup and has any comments?

    ? about t5 tranny/drive shaft and fluids

I'm pretty sure the T5 uses ATF, not normal gearbox oil. As far as the quantity goes, no idea, but keep filling until it comes out the fill plug hole.

ia a 64-65 smaller than the rest?

For the weights, have a look at: http://www.e2cars.com/mustangpricesweights.htm I know the rear (and assumingly the front also) track is 2" wider on a '67 than a '64-'66, although the spring perch is still the same distance apart. If you have a dig through...

    Increasing Engine Setback

No, those photos were only taken yesterday, it's still very much a work in progress! The front suspension is taken from an E-series Australian Falcon (1988-'98 or thereabouts) similar to my daily driver : (dime a dozen in the wrecking yards out here) The rack is supplied by RRS in Sydney...

Koni Red vs Edelbrock IAS Shock absorbers?

I've had Konis' on all 4 corners in my road car for almost 6 years (+20,000 kms per year) and they still handle like the day I put them in. Had them in race Escorts and will have them in my 'Stang when it's finished.

    Increasing Engine Setback

Sorry about the delay, got sidetracked and put back a weekend. The pics I have linked here are from my setup. If you think the pics don't look like a Mustang, I can assure you they are of my '65! The towers have been replaced with EB Falcon towers which allow me to use a SLALS suspension setup...

Hi Marshall, long time no see. Was talking to a friend the other day and he mentioned he had seen your 'stang in Brisbane recently (at least the way he described it sounded just like yours!) How's the progress?

    Increasing Engine Setback

I'm running 3" setback on my 302 engined '65, here's a few things to look out for: 1. sump and pickup may/will need to be modified to clear steering gear and crossmember. (remember if you do move the engine back to check the steering on full lock as the inside ball joints might hit the sump...

whats with shimming the clutch pack in a traction loc?

I'm led to belive that the torque value can be calculated rather than measured also. When the centre is nearly assembled, a measurement is taken from the face of the last clutch plate to a machined surface on the housing (not exactly sure which one). Depending on the spring rate and the amount...

    Serpentine Belt Pulley Sizes

Hi all, I've posted this in the classics also as the application is into a '65, but I think the answer might be more easily found in the more modern era.... I'm in the process of setting up the serpentine belt for my 302. Due to the use of non-standard components, I'm fabricating the...

    Oil Pressure Switch Ignition Cutout

Had a thought the other day to possibly prevent engine damage. The idea was to hook up the ignition through a relay connected to the oil pressure switch. The theory being that if the oil pressure dropped to a critical level then the ignition would cut automatically. This could also be linked to...

    Serpentine Belt Pulley Sizes

Hi all, I'm in the process of setting up the serpentine belt for my 302. Due to the use of non-standard components, I'm fabricating the entire setup myself. (Also the locations of the components are being located to better suit right hand drive.) My question is, what are the diameters of the...
