    Larger tires.................

sorry, just realized you didn't want to buck up for Goodyears. Nitto NT-555's are a decent low priced alternative.

    Larger tires.................

If you don't want to go staggered I believe 275/35/18's around will fit nicely and are within close tolerances of stock specs . Goodyear F1 GS-D3's are a solid choice.

Looking to buy a Cobra tonight!

Why don't you take your time - sell the 330 privately and look for a better deal on an '04. You'll make more on your private sale ($3-$4K) and not worry about losing the value on a "net trade" price. If you insist on trading it in, make sure you agree to the final price on the Cobra before...

    Lowering Cobra

I switched from H&R's to Eibach Pro-Kit on my '01. About 1/2" difference IMO (wish I took pictures - sorry). I had serious clearance problems with speedbumps etc. with the H&R's and the ride was a bit jittery for my taste. Pro-Kit offers a nice compromise between handling and ride quality.

    2001 Cobra Price Check

I recently paid 19.7K for a pristine '01 hardtop with 15,500 mi. It came with H&R's, bassani aft-cat and mac-cai. However, I swapped the springs to Eibachs which set me back a few hundo. While the '01 is solid, I'm kinda wishing I held out for a good deal on an 03/04. Oh well.

    Trading cars

nice pic....I went from a 215hp sedan to a 320+hp '01 cobra as my daily driver. power was easy to get used to. some say the clutch is heavy but I personally find it much easier to drive vs. a light/rubbery assembly that gives less feedback. I am enjoying it as my daily driver so far. only 1K...

    Call me crazy

kind of a long story, but it apparently had a bassani x (or h??) w/cats. when it subsequently failed CA emmisions, the previous owner switched back to stock and retained the catback. the current setup drones bad in the 1800-2100 rpm range. I am getting used to it though. Might have been a...

    Call me crazy

I bought a 2001 Cobra Coupe with a Bassani catback. I recognize this is a great exhaust but it's way too loud for my taste. What's a relatively quiet aftermarket exhaust (I did a search - Flowmaster was all I came up with) or should I just re-purchase a stock system? Again, apologies if...

Installing Springs on my 01 Vert (ATL, GA)

yeah, it is. although the way I look at it, they're charging 350 for an install that would take me pretty much all day (not to mention I'd probably f somethng up with my skills)

Installing Springs on my 01 Vert (ATL, GA)

That seems pretty pricey. I am having the pro-kit installed on my '01 next Saturday: $599 including the springs and taxes (and I thought that was a lot). I don't live in GA but at least use that as a benchmark as you call around.

    what springs to lower cobra?

It's tough to tell exactly where it scrapes but it's definitely not the side skirts - something underneath. And it doesn't matter how slow I maneuver. I think it has H&R race in there right now and I'm going to swap them out for the Eibach Pro-Kit. I'm hoping it gives me the clearance I'm...

    Newbie Cobra Owner

I'll definitely take some before/after. I'm having the installation done on 5/29 and will get pics up soon after. From my brief experience with the H&R's (race), they are much too aggressive of a drop for daily driven cobras. Even crawling over a normal size speedbump results in bottoming...

    Newbie Cobra Owner

thanks for the replies - Just ordered the Pro-Kit. Previous owner did a Bassani exhaust and Mac-cold air. Sounds mean as hell. I haven't read a lot of positive reviews on the MAC so might swap that out too. We'll see. Anyway - I'll try to post something useful after the Pro-Kit install to...

    Newbie Cobra Owner

I think I originally posted in the wrong place. Anyway I'm new to the forums so bear w/me. Just purchased an '01 Cobra coupe. Previous owner installed H&R springs (not sure which ones but the car is DUMPED). Unfortunately the undercarriage scrapes horribly over speedbumps. Would I fix...

    what springs to lower cobra?

new cobra owner Hi - my 1st post so go easy. I just purchased an '01 coupe with H&R springs. The undercarriage scrapes horribly going over speedbumps. Would I fix this problem by switching to a more conservative Eibach drop or should I try to find OEM Cobra springs? thanks!!
