sorry, but i have to ask a sd cam question....

Check Camshaft Innovations - "Whatever it takes" .... BTW.... he will be making one for a '88 SD Mustang AOD transmission setup of a customer of mine.

    Vacuum line elimination

1 manifold port vacuum line to FPR. 1 manifold port vacuum to PCV valve (if in use). 1 manifold port vacuum to vacuum tree-to-brake booster. Remove lines and cap manifold ports.

    WHICH HEADS

Vic Jr.'s are not "too big of a head" for a 306..... cam it correctly and you'll see. Canfield 195's is also a good option, even if you decide to go the "stroker route" afterward. Hyper pistons?...... not an option in my book, but it's your call.

Code 96 - Secondary fuel pump circuit fail - no pwr pin 19

Nope.... pin 37 is VPWR from the EEC relay, pin 19 is the wire connected to the the relay power out terminal and the fuel pump. The test light will stay on due to the ground circuit from the FP...... if the light goes out, there will be an intermittent open condition, triggered by the harness...

Code 96 - Secondary fuel pump circuit fail - no pwr pin 19

Pin 19 = FPM (Fuel Pump Monitor) circuit. The only time you will see voltage at pin 19 = FP is turned on = FP relay activated = initial FP prime pulse or engine cranking/running = PIP pulse present. Code 96 = an open condition (no voltage present), low voltage (<10.5 vdc engine running or <8...

Code 96 - Secondary fuel pump circuit fail - no pwr pin 19

Check that charging system...... 12.9 - 13.1 engine running is a little too low.

Code 96 - Secondary fuel pump circuit fail - no pwr pin 19

Engine running..... monitor the voltage at pin 19 using the battery (-) post as the ground reference for the DVOM (an extension wire is OK)........ now, check the voltage at pin 19, engine running, using a frame ground reference point for the DVOM. What is the difference of both readings. LUK

Code 96 - Secondary fuel pump circuit fail - no pwr pin 19

FP activation is...... 2-4 seconds when key is cycled to IGN ON and shutoff. It then waits for a PIP pulse to be present (sign engine is turning) to reactivate the FP relay. With the the ignition switch left in IGN ON, the FP will not turn on after the initial priming pulse, and no voltage...

Throttle lever bushing missing on my car (for the TV cable)

If you still have the nylon version of the grommet, get the new metal one, there's a TSB regarding its replacement for the metal bushing/clip like HISSIN5.0 mentioned..... Ford has issued a kit (p/n F3SZ-7H303-B) that completely replaces the grommet with a brass bushing and hairpin. The only...

It already has it!!!!! why DOWNGRADE? .... if Why can't he make a great performing car with a 3" exhaust setup? ... which he already has installed!!!! .... or will you continue to ignore the 358RWHP/346RWTQ + 18/29.2MPG + 8.2 @85.5 MPH in the 1/8th. and ~3550 weight example? .... or is a 393...

Good for you....... nobody has said (at least I know I haven't) that YOU need to switch to a 3" exhaust system in order to improve your performance. However, could you set a better combo (not just one component) that could benefit from a better flowing exhaust setup?....... yep...

V10 engine, emissions compliant, insurable, noise acceptable, etc, etc...... that is a production car. Who has a stroker (not a production setup, better flowing, etc, etc) asa production unit?...... hint.......anybody that builds one. Here's a snapshot of a 550HP '66 Mustang with a 347...

Do you know what a "PRESSURIZED" exhaust system means?..... here's a thought, I do check for "backpressured" systems when they fail emissions testing every month...... do you know what is required to build pressure?........ the opposite to flow. Impede flow and what do you create?.... pressure...

Check the physical explanation highlighted above for a sec....... if the gases become stagnant inside the exhaust system, impeding flow, killing its momentum, cooled gases getting in the way of the exiting flow......... wouldn't it fall under the backpressure category? ...... Do you really think...

I didn't care, nor they existed, when I proved that with my little 289 against 350's and a few 396's....... I did it. Mufflers DO NOT make power... as far as I know, they are "static" components in a setup....... they either "allow or hinder"..... so I agree with you..... but why use a setup...

Why have I always run better with a "free flowing" exhaust setup?....... no magazines or books articles here. Does the intake need to be changed/tuned?..... of course! ... one complements the other, that's what "combining" is all about. Open headers do make more power, if YOU know how to set...

Black vs Grey TFI Module ???

Got some low voltage problem there...... 10 vdc at the fuse link is too low. The "threshold" for the ECM is 10.5 vdc at pin 19, but the supply is below the normal 12 vdc expected. May want to check those main grounds (block and block-to-frame)..... LUK
