2003 GT - Canister Control Solenoid

@wmburns The light was not on before the fuel pump repair...the fuel pump just up and quit on me, and that was quite an "interesting" experience itself. Anyway, no, I'm not entirely convinced their diagnosis regarding the light is right. The timing of when it initially came on does make me...

2003 GT - Canister Control Solenoid

I had my '03 GT at the shop recently getting the fuel pump replaced. The day after I picked it up, the Service Engine Soon light came on and I took it back in. They said it was now the vapor canister and the canister control solenoid. To order the parts and install them, they wanted $600, half...

    Incorrect fluid capacities

I thought the earlier 4.6 engines for the Mustang were 5 quarts, then they bumped that spec up to 6 around 2001...? Also, my '03 GT calls for 5W-20.

Progress Thread Pilot bearing VS TOB?

I'll echo what Noobz said. When my TOB went out a few years ago, the car had 160K on it and was still on the factory clutch. I just did everything while it was out, including the rear main seal.

    Turn signal

Have you changed the far left bulb? Does that bulb flash when the hazards are on? What about the brake light? If the running light works when you turn the headlights on, that uses a different filament in the bulb than the flasher. That would explain why that works and not the blinker. Try...

Scavenger Hunt! Looking For I Is Spotted In The Wild!

Got one now! Guess they must've had the car in the shop for a few days; yesterday it was back on the lot and I stopped by today and got a pic.... Not sure if it's genuine; I didn't look at the buck tag. If it is, it's got the wrong striping. The VIN indicated it's a '78, but it's got the...

Scavenger Hunt! Looking For I Is Spotted In The Wild!

Unfortunately, it looks like that II is gone. When I drove by that shop this morning, it was no longer in the lot.

Scavenger Hunt! Looking For I Is Spotted In The Wild!

I've been meaning to stop by and do so, but never quite pull in there. I'll have to see if I can get in there tomorrow or something (if it's still there...it's was there all week...)

Scavenger Hunt! Looking For I Is Spotted In The Wild!

There's a white II t-top sitting at a repair shop that's on my way to work. It has a targa band on it. At first I thought it might've been a King Cobra but it just has the standard valance on the front...no air dam. It's been there all week so far and hasn't moved.

    Help for Turn Signal problems

Try the blinker module, as wmburns suggests. I had the same issue not too long ago. Turn signals would intermittently work, and got worse over time to the point that they hardly worked at all. But the hazards worked just fine. I changed out the switch assembly to no avail. Changed all the bulbs...

Hi I need help with a vortech supercharge in Maryland

What part of Maryland are you in? Check with JPC Racing in Millersville (about 20 minutes north of Annapolis)...they're a well-known Mustang performance shop in the area. http://www.jpcracing.com/

What Happened to the Mustang II Network site?

Looks like the domain name is registered through August 2019, which means even if Tim lets the name registration lapse then, it still wouldn't be up for grabs again until November of next year. The only way to get it prior is to ask Tim if he would consider transferring ownership. Not sure how...

    Gauge Cluster Trim Rings

If I remember correctly, the 2003 and 2004 Mach 1s came from the factory with those trim rings and then they were available in the aftermarket. I believe they just "snapped on" to the edge of each gauge opening. I had once considered adding those to my GT and looked at the process of doing so...

Are SN95 doors of all years interchangeable ? ( manual-to-power door swap )

Well, you can't put a '94-'98 door on a '99-'04 and vice-versa. They're two different designs on the exterior. But I'd think you could interchange '94-'98 doors with themselves and '99-'04 with themselves.

Starting to plan '03 GT shock/strut refresh...looking for suggestions

Yet another "suspension recommendation" thread. I'm starting to plan out what I need to refresh the shocks & struts on my 2003 GT and was looking for some suggestions on what's decent out there nowadays. Currently the car has Tokico D-Specs in it which have over 110,000 miles on them. The last...

General Buy 01 Cobra or 06 GT?

That is kind of a tough decision if you just look at it from a horsepower standpoint. They're pretty close. Me personally, I'd probably lean towards the Cobra because Cobra. It has the IRS too so that's a plus. But you're right about the S197...it certainly feels like a tighter, "peppier" car...

    Turn Signal Issue...flasher Module?

I drove the car around today and gave the signals a fair workout. They were fully responsive every time so I think I'm in the clear now.

    Turn Signal Issue...flasher Module?

Thread revival...only because it's taken me this long to finally get to the bottom of it. I received a new multi-function switch at Christmas and between the cold weather then, my lack of driving the Mustang, and the fact that the signals would just so happen to work properly when I did drive...
