Need help in choosing cam for 351w

I suggest going with Ed Curtis at Flow Tech Inductions. He can make a custom grind for your 351w as he did mines.

For cams I suggest going with Ed Curtis from Flow Tech Inductions. He made me a custom grind for my 351w. He will ask you for all the specs of your car to make it.

    Supporting Parts for Vortech?

You might want to look into the 93 cobra water pump pulley. Its smaller and will flow more water. I used it on mine and so does RC. The only thing you will have to do to make it fit is drill out the center a little.

    Supporting Parts for Vortech?

I like the whine of the V1 most of all. Long time ago when I was supercharged. I got my Vortech V1 head unit on ebay for $600 and it was newly rebuilt. I bought all the other brackets and stuff from superchargersonline.com I believe. It came out cheaper than a brand new kit.

    Oil behind intake

Alright, I just installed new gaskets. I cleaned up the heads and the lower intake very well. I used sandpaper on the front and back ends of the block and intake to make the RTV stick much more. I also used the cork gaskets because I couldn't find the neoprene ones for the 351w. I used the...

    Some 351 ?s

I have a Canton oil pan on my 351w that has a port for a dipstick. I think I got the oil pan kit from Holcomb motorsports long time ago. I am using a fox body timing cover, its longer and it was a tight fit with the radiator and fan. I suggest staying without the sn-95 cover. I am using March...

    Oil behind intake

Well I removed the intake today and it was leaking from behind, I was watching it as the car idled. When I removed it, the whole driver side bolts seemed like they had lost some torque. I did torque them down to specs before, not sure why that happened. I am torn as to this crankcase...

    Oil behind intake

I was searching on turbomustangs.com and a lot of people have success with a -10 or -12 line from the valve cover to a catch can like this one:Moroso 85465 - Moroso Racing Vacuum Pump Breather Tanks - summitracing.com They have no oil leak issues or blow-by. I may go this route for ventilation.

    Oil behind intake

95Vert383AOD- thanks for the thorough explanation, I appreciate your tips. I am looking into some form of crank case ventilation to add. I like using the rubber gasket on the ends, however I can't seem to find them for a 351w. I prefer rubber over cork that fel-pro has, do you know any place...

    Oil behind intake

My engine is far from stock, however I do understand your point about more ventilation. If the intake gasket leaks, what do that mean?

    Oil behind intake

I asked the question about my breathers here a long time ago and the responses were that the breathers are enough for my setup. http://forums.stangnet.com/737293-valve-cover-breathers-big-vacuum-leak.html Is the oil back there and indicator of a vacuum leak?
