Will they make a trailer hitch for 2005 GTs?

I'm sure someone will soon. I'll be getting one for a bike rack. Best way to carry nice bikes is on a hitch rack--especially if you have a vert.

    Yellow 05 Crash Pics

Exactly. I won't drive something that weighs less than 3500 pounds. http://www.safecarguide.com/exp/weight/idx.htm I don't think a Volvo S60, for example, which weighs about the same as the 2005 Mustang, would have done much better in that crash. And factor in that Volvo consulted on...

    Spotted: Black Ford GT

Why not? Cause of the recall(s)? Or cause it's not European and doesn't appeal to your nouveau-riche sensibilities? I bet they paid a lot more than $150k, too.

    Yellow 05 Crash Pics

Yes. Makes me sick to even think about it. I can't think of anything else to add that wouldn't be deleted by a moderator so I'll just say I'm glad the driver was ok.

    Charger orders pile up

They killed Plymouth. :nonono: Maybe they could do a two door Magnum and call it a Super Bee. I'm not holding my breath, though...

    Shaker 500 replacement...

Why did you guys even bother ordering the Shaker 500 in the first place? Wouldn't it have been a lot easier and cheaper just to get the base stereo? I only listen to the stereo in my Volvo. In the Mopar I prefer the sound of the V8 and Flowmasters.

Anyone else anxiously waiting for the '06?

I'm waiting for the 08s. The 05s will be nice and cheap by then and the orignal owners will have sorted out all the bugs.

    New guy on the block

Yeah, Mustang owners are a pretty easy going group on the whole. I've lurked at bit on e36 forums and it didn't seem too bad, though I imagine later model Bimmer drivers are pretty insufferable--I'm guessing most of the discussion revolve around detailing, dealer service and the best lease...

    $8,999.99 Dealer markup!!!

I've been in Vanguard for a while and it ain't that hot. I have two things that have been going up faster than 9%--my house, and my old Mopar. But I'm getting ready for the housing and old muscle car market bubbles to pop. And I'm not sure I have that much faith in the stock market, either. I'll...

    $8,999.99 Dealer markup!!!

Agree 100%. Stick with the 30 year (or 15 year) fixed rate on houses, and pay cash for eveything else.

    '05 as a family car?

Wildboar, great Britax shots! Doesn't look bad at all! :nice: Heck, when I was a kid I used to get rides in the back of my friend's dad's TR6--I think there was like a wooden plank behind the seats, no seat belts. Much cooler than riding in the back of my parents big old Cadillac. Kids...

What speed do you guys stop racing at?

So you're not allowed to tell people who street race that they're idiots?

    Manual or Automatic?

Of course age has something to do with a it. You'd tell a young kid getting his first sports car to get an automatic? I wouldn't. You'd tell an older guy with little experience shifting a manual tranny to get to get a manual? I wouldn't... I picked the 30 number out of the air--I figure if...

    O5 GT wheel hop?

    Here's Steeda's answer to the problem. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7944250597&category=33736&sspagename=WDVW

    Manual or Automatic?

If you are under 30 just get the manual. If you are older than 30 and still don't know the answer to your question you should probably get the auto.

    Decisions, Decisions, Decisions?!

I'd hesitate to buy a car from anyone who has their car serviced at Jiffy Lube. But ultimately it's a $$$ decision, and you're the only one who can make it.

    the competition

I'm one of those guys who if it doesn't have a V8, RWD and two doors I don't really look at it (unless maybe it has a V12). Four doors to me means family car, and for a family car I'd want something bigger like the 300C or a Volvo or something. I think the Z is butt ugly and having a low small...
