    Personally, if I was going to do a fresh gear swap I'd pick 3.73s. Simply, because I'm not into the drag scene, and I need to do city driving with the car. With 4.10s there is almost no first gear, so in traffic it's kinda sucky. On the highway, I rarely push it past 110KM/H as my gas goes...

    That was in Canadian dollars for me. But still, did you buy it new, or is it a lease payment? $3600 x 5 = $18,000, so about a $16,500 car before taxes. $16,500 doesn't buy a whole lot of car these days besides 4 bangers.

    Yes that's another aspect. I worked in the service department at a dealer for a couple of years. They are shady at best, and always trying to push maintenance items on the customer. If a customer didn't do all the maintenance, they became very unhelpful when it came to warranty claims.

    Personally, I like the older fenders better appearance wise, the pony rim fills the wheel well better. But yes it can limit your wheel/tire size once lowered.

    Well it's nothing super special, and I didn't sell it, but I got into a head on collision with my 89 Jetta GTX a few years back. Was a quick little car, and got 29MPG mostly city. I couldn't ask for a better beater car, at 270,XXX KM's it still had full compression.

    Some Nitto 555s or M/T Sportsmans and a nice drag suspension would easily be able to handle the power of the OPs stock motor + turbo and 3.73s.
