Installed MGW's New Short-Throw Shifter and Cobra Steering Wheel Today!

The steering wheel is the same circumference. It's just has more girth (he he) and is covered in higher grade leather, so it feels more comfortable in your hands. As for the Pro 5.0, that's what eBay is for...

Installed MGW's New Short-Throw Shifter and Cobra Steering Wheel Today!

Thanks for the compliment. The steering wheel took about 15 minutes to remove and install. Just make sure you have either a harmonic balancer remover or steering wheel remover with the proper threads. The steering wheel has two points you screw into with the removal tool. Other than that it...

Installed MGW's New Short-Throw Shifter and Cobra Steering Wheel Today!

I just pulled out my trusty old Pro 5.0 and installed MGW's new short-throw shifter. MGW's unit is a work of art. I'm sad to cover it up with my shifter boot! I also swapped my stock steering wheel with an '03 Cobra take-off. MGW Shifter I've only driven with it for 10 or so minutes so...

Who have home made Drilled brake rotors

Here's my reply to your post on Corral.net... The only things cross-drilled rotors are good for (with the exception of Porsche cast rotors) are pimp factor and early rotor failure. If you do the drilling yourself, your rotor life will be even less than those done on a CNC machine. Don't...

    where to get gears done?

J&S Gear Company in Huntington Beach. They installed my 31-spline axles, torsen diff, 4:10's, and TA Cover. THey did an excellent job...no gear whine, no leaks. Also, their prices were great and they finished in a day. They specialize in gears so they know what they are doing. Good...

Best way to get paw prints off the vert top?

A pellet gun with a scope! Yet another reason to hate cats... (I'm obviously a dog owner who's allergic to cats) Actually, here's a link to the stuff I use on mine. http://www.worlduph.com/topcare.htm Seems to do a great job of cleaning everything/anything that ends up on my vert top...

    Car Cover Care

Here's a helpful link: http://www.websweeper.com/cars/phpsite/care.php#NOAH DO NOT USE A DRYER TO SAVE TIME. I made that mistake using intermittent low heat only to melt my perfectly good cover! Good luck! Norm

    Car Cover

That depends... If you are concerned with just dust, get a light-weight dust cover. That will be the cheapest and most efficient option. However, if you are like me and you are protecting your car from potential dings/bumps from kids, wife, etc. and you plan to use it outdoors when necessary...

    Car Cover

Most of the custom fit covers that will protect from rain will run you in the $150+ range. Make sure the fabric allows your paint/car to breathe. My cover is made of "Noah" fabric from Kimberly Clark. That works good for rain and sun protection. My cover was right around $150. Good luck.

    Car Cover

What do you plan to use the car cover for? (e.g., snow/rain/sun protection in an outside parking spot, dust/scratch protection in the garage, etc.) There are many different fabric types, some much more expensive than others. Also, some fabrics are less compact than others. I purchased a...

Finally got rid of stock crappy seats!

Talk to Mark Wilson at www.on-trackperformance.com. He's pretty active on the forums at corner-carvers.com and deals with others that are primarily into racing. He will know the weights and probably relative comfort of all the different brands and seat models. I would also suggest that...

Finally got rid of stock crappy seats!

Since I have power on both of these seats, they probably net out. The driver's seat is lighter than the stock power seat. However, the power passenger seat is heavier than the non-power stock seat. If you want serious weight reduction, then I would go with either an aluminum or carbon...

Finally got rid of stock crappy seats!

Thanks for the compliments... I bought the seats used on ebay. Picked them both up for $1,300 + $140 shipping. Additionally, I had to buy sliders and brackets for another $350. With the comfort package (power, heating, cooling) and the leather/cloth combo, the seats retail between $1,100...

Finally got rid of stock crappy seats!

I finally broke down and upgraded my seats to a pair of Recaro Styles. Let me tell you that there is no comparison between the stock slip-n-slide leather seats and the Recaros. I commute 1.5 hours to work each way and the new seats make a huge difference on comfort. Additionally, the Recaros...

SVO Rear End Girdle Cover and H&R Super Sport Lowered Suspension - Clearance Issues?

I'm in the exact same boat. I've got a T/A cover, lowered, with a MM pinion snubber. The T/A cover has done a good job of taking care of the clearance issue as well as flattening the fuel line... How the hell is the MM panhard bar I was planning to get going to fit? Any comments?

Hints for removal of Stock cat-back

I second that. I got $125 + shipping on ebay for mine. Nothing like getting $125 for something I was considering cutting up to fit in my trash cans. Just cut the stock pipe in a location that will faciliate the use of pipe clamps to make the install easier for the V-6er installing them as an...

    Mid-pipes w/ cats (CA)

The Magnaflow tru-x is 50 state legal since it is welded in place of the h-pipe connector AFTER the catalytic converters. It is considered a cat-back modification that does not interfer with emissions... Norm p.s. Yes, California does suck on numerous fronts. Hopefully Arny will...

    DM Speedcal Problems

Go to Dallas Mustang's website and look for the support forum. Willie Norman is the guy who developed the speedcal and is very active on their support forum. He's awesome when it comes to customer service! My speedcal would jump like crazy when moving under 10 MPH. After 10 MPH, the...
