    I just asked my tuner about doing a cam swap or maybe some lt headers he shook his head and said for the money it is not worth it. I asked him if he was sure and he told me again that it is not worth it on a N/A car. So i know i'm completely lost now.

    hey man besides the rear of the car squeak i also have the rear window squeak it's normal for the verts to do that according to Ford. it's just a bad design. try some lube on the rubber weather stripping on the rear quarter window.

    that thread over at corral talks about the speaker weld in the trunk...i have a vert. so that nixes that whole theory immediatly. wonderful. and yeah it is an external sound casue when i rolled my windows down it gets much much louder. damn crickets in my trunk! The real problem here is...

    weird i jsut noticed a squeak coming from my rear last week. But it's only at high speeds. sounds exactly like a real loud cricket.

    with a new TQ do you have to get anything reprogrammed? I also heard people feel like the car loses all sorts of power down low on normal driving and that the gas feels real mushy. Is there any truth to this?

    i believe the pulley size changed mid way through 2001. not 100% on that. but i think that is all.

    I appreciate the offer grabber. If Ford tells me to take a hike (which i'm sure they will cause of my mods) then i might take you up on that. BTW if my TPS was going bad would that not also cause this problem?? :shrug: :shrug:
