New Heads And Same Inlet Tract. No New Power? Wtf??? O_o

Well first stop would be check the valve train geometry. Does it need shims on the rockers? Does it need a push rod length change? Things that will rob power and also cause the valve train noise. Stock MAF? Has to go. 55mm bottleneck right at the beginning. Stock headers? Have to go. Bottle neck...

    Short Throw Shifter--different Feel?.

I also feel the longer Hurst would provide a great feel for a daily driver. Less effort along with the improved lower shifter design over stock. The trade off is the speed of the shift with the longer throw. That being said I hate the look.

    Fox Blown Head Gasket-upgrade Ideas

Oh I wholeheartedly agree. I'd prefer aluminum. I just hadn't seen any real deals that I could put my hands on and look at before a purchase. I'd have to buy them local. And "P" heads have some good features. I'm just too old to jack with some of the issues.

    Fox Blown Head Gasket-upgrade Ideas

If you find any more AFR 165's for $500.00 let me know. Meanwhile I prefer the GT40 over the GT40P only for personal preferences such as ease of spark plug replacement and lack of burned boots. I also like the fact they have no thermactor ports and larger valves.

Probably worn transmission parts. Blocker rings, a fork etc.

They are regular GT40 heads. Not GT40P heads. Same casting as a 93-95 Cobra. X heads are aluminum. You would have to buy them new or search ebay or classifieds for them.

I had some issues like that with my Capri. I bought a different cable. There are several Fox cables out there. I had about 3 different ones in stock so I found the one that worked.

    Hillbilly Hatch Striker Repair

Ok so I bought a 5$ metal bushing off Ebay..I know I know..but if you put the washer in the vice and wack the bolt a few times, the bolt WILL unscrew out of the washer. I did it per the bushing makers instructions. You could use a piece of brass, steel, pvc etc to make your bushing. I like the...

    Fox Blown Head Gasket-upgrade Ideas

I have the scoop on some gt40 heads (not P heads) complete in need of rebuild. You'll need machine work and springs but I found a guy that sells them for $225.00 shipped. I know you can buy them cheaper but you don't have to take them off. I bought a set myself.

    Are Ebay Headers Any Good?

I hear ya. I meant I'd buy the ceramic coated for looks. Like BBK ceramic. I understand wrap is my friend now for dual purposes. Fixes the ugly and helps with heat. I also meant that I wouldn't buy new chrome with the intention to wrap them. Most ceramics seem to look good a long time. I've also...

Need Help With Install Of Bbk Ssi Lower Intake On My 88 Fox 302

I bought stainless bolts and washers at Lowes for cheap. Look nice. 2.5" long? 2.25"? I forget. Search the length online or measure an old one. 5/16 x 18 threads per inch.

    Are Ebay Headers Any Good?

I don't know that it would be on my wish list. If I had it to do again (check the price on wrap and headers) I would buy ceramic coated.
