Long Tubes Worth it for my build?

None that I know of anymore, which is why I meant shorty... :bang: Pretty sure you have to make or modify an existing h-pipe to fit to the mid-lengths you can get now.

Long Tubes Worth it for my build?

And I'll just throw my 2cents in here. Whether you decide on long tubes, mid-length, or shorties, be aware that not all headers are the same. Flange, collector, and outlet design play a huge role in how the header performs. A set of well made mid-lengths with a good collector will outperform a...

    Diesel Mustang?

Def. a couple of them around now. The other one I've been watching lately is the S550 one by Westen Champlin. I think that "Cumstang" was one of the first.

    Rusty clutch

That just looks like cosmetic rust, I'd run it.

I think you might have misunderstood me, only the driveline is a percentage. Driveline loses are primarily frictional losses which increase as power output through the driveline increased. The accessory loss I stated of 15-25HP is the typical measured accessory loss of the alternator, ect on...

The 11r head design allows you to run more comp with boost. My engine with the 9.3 comp is planned for 20+ pounds once I change chargers. With your comp, you could go well into the 10's on pump, keeping your intake temps down.

Drivetrain loss is not static, it's a percentage which is typically calculated at 15% for a manual (on the high side). That gets us to 430. Typical total accessory lose is usually 15-25HP. These are on the high end, assuming the alternator is putting out 100 amps plus, full RPM on the water...

Yep, that was my first thought when I saw his specs. Then was a little surprised when I saw it was N/A, and even more surprised when he stated his goals. I think once you put his combo into DynoSim you'll see the camshaft is a compromise to keep that combo as streetable as possible, as was...

Progress Thread Darn Stock Block Problems - Getting the Engine Together

Well sheet. Looks like I'm going to have to modify my valve covers to be able to get the intake elbow on my blower. I knew this might be an issue but was hoping there would be another solution. Looks like most people cut out a section of the valve cover and lay it back some and then reweld...

Yeah, def want to get that throttle to open all the way, but personally I'd still want to find and fix the leak issues first and work my way down my list. TFS lists them as .600, but they are technically good to .650 lift. They use PAC valve springs. He should already have pistons with the...

Who spec'd your engine combo for those goals if I can ask?

When did you do your comp test? After you started to see the coolant weeping? Not that it's definitive, just checking. Def. check your port alignment, I thought you said you had checked that already. Being a new intake, it should have been straight and ground at the right angle. You can get...

Finally got to sit down and read through your first post again and subsequent posts since I originally read your post on my phone, while sitting on the beach drinking a couple beers...... Before I would go chasing anything else at this point, I'm with @revhead347 and I would check the engine...

    5.4l crank?

Crank needs offset ground and resized, counterweights need to be machined down 1/4" on the crank, lower bored needs to be clearanced for the rod swing, and custom rods and pistons are needed. Rod ratio is crappy, piston pulls out of the bottom of the bore quite a bit, and not very rev friendly...

Alright, I wouldn't call myself an expert engine builder or anything... But looking at the info you supplied on your combo, the first two things that stick out are to me is that intake and the camshaft specs. That intake's power band is more in the 6000+ on your cubic inch. I would also expect...
