how much power can these bodies handle before you have major problems?

it is not just the power but how you drive it. You can get problems with just 300 hp if you really dive into turns and launch and brake hard with a 40 year old car with no structural improvements. I would upgrade to sub frames at just 350 hp. Of course I have no basis whatsoever on which to...

'66 Won't start on once hot.

any rust in the tank? I had all kinds of problems with my engine stalling out. Checked and replaced all kinds of parts. Then when draining the tank, enough rust to fill up a salad bowl came out. Replaced the tank and the car ran just fine after that.

    what stall speed for me?

It sounds like you have an 8.8 inch rear. I have a similar combo in my car. I have a 9 inch rear with 3.70 in the back and a 2800-3000 stall and my car just loves it. I think a similar combo to mine would be more "streetable" than 4.10s and still get you down the track plenty fast.

    Dual electric fans?

I see. On my car with the single fan, the motor is 1/4 inch away from the water pump. If with the dual fans, the motors are to the left and right of the pump, then he would have room.

    Dual electric fans?

2.28" not including the fan motor. 4.02" deep when you include the motor.

    Dual electric fans?

He doesn't have the space. He has 3.5 inches of clearance. The Spal dual 12" fan is over 4" deep. While it moves over 3150 cfm, it just don't fit.

    Dual electric fans?

I have a flex-a-lite, low boy, trim-line fan. it is part number 118. It is a 16 inch fan, is only 3 3/16 inches deep, and moves 2500 cfm. I can recommend it.

    Serious street/strip enginebuilder CA?

It's a long way from Amsterdam to Anaheim. He was supposed to include it with the stuff when he shipped it back, which he did only after I paid.

    Serious street/strip enginebuilder CA?

I had Troy port my heads and grind me a roller cam to match the flow but he just flat out refuses to give me an invoice for the work. I have asked not less than 5 times and he says that he mailed it, blah, blah, blah, but it never ever gets to me.

    Hydraulic Roller Lifter Kit

In addition to Crane, Comp also makes really spendy drop in hydraulic roller cam lifters. Part number 8931-16 at Summit for a 351W and $589. If you go roller cam, you will most likely need custom length push rods. Crane is able to offer pushrods in any length you need. In my case, I...

    Cheap parts!

I bought $10k in new parts to completely rebuild my car from the frame up, sourcing the parts from three different vendors: LMM, MU, and NPD. No difference in the quality of the sheet metal. No matter where it came from, it was crap. Unless you have original ford tooling, the sheet metal...

    Too Late

If you are saying that the contractual terms imposed on 69gmachine were patently illegal, then any lawyer who drafted such a contract would have committed an ethical breach. But you know full well that the commercial terms 69gmachine had to comply with are pretty standard and it was not the...

    Too Late

You hate lawyers because of the onerous terms that a bunch of MBA businessmen came up with? That makes sense. That's like saying you hate cars because a drunk driver hit you. A lawyer is like a gun; only as good or evil as the hand that wields him.

    FMX rebuild or replace ?

Broarder Performance can sell you a complete rebuild kit for your FMX. If your gin is really stout (over 450 hp), then you should know that the FMX can only handle so much power and that there are not hi-po parts available for that kind of power. In such a case, you'd be best advised to put...
