    Fuel Pump Upgrade and Questions

    Focus pump will work fine. I got mine through MPH w/ all my other parts. You can find them for ~ $90. It's a direct replacement, so you need to pull the pump out of the basket assembly that you get when you receive the pump, and just replace the stock pump in your GT. Takes ~ 1 hr.

    I need more info. When you stay the car chokes, does it hesitate when under load and then recover at a higher RPM? Does it choke and die? Is this a new install of the blower and cams, or something that's popped up recently?

    I had a similar problem w/ my car. It ended up being that because of the tight clearances w/ the powerpipe/MAF/filter combo, that for some reason, there was a gap between the MAF and powerpipe. Basically, I was pulling more air that the MAF was metering, and it threw everything off.

    The car will run fine. It'll be loud, even w/ the factory h, but there's a guy I know who's been doing it for about a month w/ no issues. The legality of it is another story, I'm sure you'll be over the legal limit for sound, but it's only for a few minutes, so I'd do it.

    You do need them on the '04's. Ford conveniently decided it was a great idea to move the rear 02's forward. I found out during the install of my Bassani that I needed them.

    You'll need them. Ford relocated the rear O2's forward for the '04's for sure, not sure about the '03. I needed them for my Bassani.
