    quick question for all you with 18"

    265/35/18 up front & 295/53/18 rear fit perfect IMO... No stretch & no bulge. What brand tire you go with will also effect the fitment & the look as well. If you go with a nice domestic brand tire like a Goodyear, or BFG, they will be a tad wider than an import tire like Nitto, or Sumitomo.

    16" wheels will clear for sure. My buddy runs 16" 99-04 V6 wheels on his 03 Cobra for track wheels & they clear just fine. I run 15X8" summit pro star reps (not too sure on the offset?) on my Mach 1, & all I needed was 1/4" spacers to clear the brakes. Actually, I'm pretty sure an 1/8" spacer...

    will a saleen transmission fit my 96?

    I'm pretty sure the transmissions are the same, but maybe the gearing could be different, but I doubt it? I know what is definitely different is the flywheel. The GT uses a 6 bolt flywheel, while your Cobra uses an 8 bolt flywheel.

    Most Saleen transmissions are no different from any other stock GT trans. If the car is a 99, it should be the same T45 you already have in your 96.

    First time ever to the track last night

    My 60 ft on the 12,75 pass was only a 1.75, but I'm pretty sure I can get it down to a low 1.6 & pull a 12.5 or so. I did pull a 1.68 in my Mach 1 on the same tires, so I know it can easily be done in my coupe.
