31" radiators thread - battery relocation mandatory.

I have a 31x19, but had to trim a little in the frame. With the rad I used, the tanks at the bottom slope in a little, so the notch isn't huge. I did take the filler neck of to fit it under the hood. The dual fan with shroud covers the entire rad, pulls 4000 CFm and total depth on the fans and...

    Mini Tub?

You can go 325 at least with a mini tub. But a mini tub will do you no good in these cars without moving the leaf inward. You can get 315's in there with stock tubs and leafs in the stock location. Just takes a little bit of a BFH. Without going into the frame rail I'm sure you can go 335 no big...

    ABS Electric Master Cylinder

I'm contemplating the same thing as a last resort. The hydro boost won't fit unless I move the COP which I don't really want to do. I just may run the standard style though. Wonder how much noise it'll make. Heard electric vac pumps before, forget that.

New 331 is in the car but I have a fan problem.

oh OK, then you should be good. Come back with news when you get it running. Very curious if those fans at 195 will turn off. We bought a dual fan setup in a 70 camaro and that and the radiator are BAD. The fans come on at 190 iirc and they aren't on for more than 15 sec lol

****, is that a big bore motor with an attempt to put .060 bore gaskets on ? You had a 4.125 bore right ? You might need a custom cometic for that bore and those coolant holes.

Any thoughts aboout this rack&pinion from ebay?

The only thing I like about the H kit of the R&C was it sleeved the frame, then you weld in the cross member. But all the R&C its I' have seen, never see the frame cracked at the rail where the cross member was.

Any thoughts aboout this rack&pinion from ebay?

They are a bunch of morons and liars is what it boils down to. Got screwed out of about 600 bucks. Long story short ordered a rear suspension kit and it was too bouncy with the shocks that come standard. They said we could return them. I asked them if I could order them first because it was the...

New 331 is in the car but I have a fan problem.

If you have an adjustable timing light, just bring the engine to tdc, and put a pointer somewhere else and mark a new tdc. From there you can make adjustments with the gun to find you timing.

    STARTER HELP!!

You have to switch to a 164 tooth. The starter position for the AOD is farther out, and that's why you need the larger 164 wheel. Stick a smaller wheel in there and it'll never engage the wheel. Time to pull the tranny.

    Radiator and Fan selection

AL is much stronger also. Allowing thinner and more fins. For less noise and more HP I'd get a flew fan with a shroud.

    Mustang Sagging Driverside Rear

No, no one in LA. Dunno on the cost. Depends what's wrong, and how long on the frame machine if that's the problem.Checking it yourself is possible with time and a bit of craftyness. You need to hang and object, wood, broom handles, anything long and flat from the car. Make sure it hangs down...

If they are quite, you got luckier than anyone. They all make noise, that's just the way it is. Doesn't matter on brand. I can start up anyone of the cars here and the only cars that are quiet are stamped steel. The mechanical is better than electric. MechanicalIf it wasn't, you may not have...

    Mustang Sagging Driverside Rear

If you take it to a collision shop they should be able to tell you within 1hr. We do it pretty often here. I have seen it be the frame twisted to the mounting points of the suspension just not level throwing it all off. I don't think we've come to the conclusion yet it was springs on any car...

Not that I've seen. they all seem to make the same noise. Post a vid of it ? HAve you tried different pre load settings ? Some like 3/4 of a turn more, and quiet down from that sometimes. Your using a flat tappet in a roller block, how long are the push rods ? Did you check the geometry ...

I'd do a coolant test before buying the fan. You can drive a car at speed without one and should be just fine. it would take a little longer to cool an engine down without the fans assistance pulling it though, but should be fine. Looks like you've done all the steps. I'd be looking for cracks...

    Too hot of a thermostat?

That's because you've never welded Chinese material. Nothing chinese is the same. :) You can tell instantly if it **** ty metal. Dunno how drastically it would change the coefficient though.

    Too hot of a thermostat?

Power wise I haven't compared directly, but wonder myself. Oil is thinner hotter. cooler should be better, but comes with it's own problems. thicker oil and cooler manifold. I guess it would be better as long as the fuel isn't sticking to the manifold, which I seriously doubt at 160 deg. Not any...
