Ok guys, gimmie your best stories

(or should I say worst) regarding PO repairs/changes to your past or present cars. I've heard/seen some good ones in my time. But my best/worst is finding a page from a 1974 newspaper and a cigarette butt in my friends '68 coupes rocker panel!!

What kind of reactions do you guys get on the street?

Well, it depends on what you consider "decent" (refering to your fastback purchase). The recent popularity of Eleanor has caused the prices of '67-'68 Fastbacks to be rather INLFLATED to say the least. You can still possibly find a driver for that $$, just not on E-bay! :nice:

Does anyone run white letters out anymore?

I run Magnum 500's but op'ed to turn the letters in. Just my preference. I've seen 'Stangs with white letters that look nice. IMO it's just a matter of taste, and "does it go with the total package?"

I Really Need Some Help PLEASE

I agree with Snail. If ya by a 30+ year old car site unseen, your playing with fire. I purchased a '65 Fastback via E-bay a few years back. The PO agreed to "escrow" the money and title until I inspected the car, (I had it shipped). If I was unhappy with the car, I could send it back. All...

So what is an opinion worth in today's market anyway?

I feel that as long as the opinion is constructive and/or has a point. (other than being malicious). Your indeed intitled to it.

I'm sick and tired of people not taking responsibility for their actions!!!!

If you feel the car has sound mechanics, I'd keep the sucker, and fix it.

65-68 200cu Mustang... reliable.. daily driver?

In my opinion, 90% + early Mustangs have had rust repair. It's a fact of life. Unless the car was in Arizona or New Mexico it's entire life, it gonna have rust repair. (even if it's very minor.) Ford did not built these cars with the intent that they would be around almost 40 years...

    Question about racing aprons

I have the same apron as Historic, and I'm pleased with mine as well! You can also get one that allows you to keep the front bumber if you like.

Going Drag Racing, need to know how to do a burn-out with stick

I think he may be confused. My '93 5.0 (T-5, and the usual bolt-ons) best time in the 1/8 was 9.0 sec.
