    The one major thing about the ls1 vs 4.6 deal that everyone seems to forget is the fact that the ls1 is the top motor that can come stock in a chevy. Our GT's are a 4.6 2v compared to 5.7. Now put a 4.6 4v, ie cobra or mach1, and its another story. I'm suprised that no one ever brings that up...

    My 96 GT 5spd has the typical slow dropping rpms, but it seems that i never can get any lower than 1000rpms.     Lights

    I'm sure that you would have to use a different harness. My buddy has a jeep and when he just installed the bulbs it worked fine for like a month, but then it melted and he had to replace the harness with the upgraded one. Since then, its been about 3months, he has had no prob.

    Would putting speedo gear in auto keep it from shifting into O/D?

    I would say that it probably would...From what i have read i would assume so becuase the computer reads the speed from and adjust gears accordingly. I could be wrong but thats my understanding Anyone else?

    the plastic gear thing is a new drive gear that goes into the tranny...it fixes your speedo, but doesn't last long cause its plastic. I'm glad to hear good things about the speed cal...I think thats what i will do cause i also plan on getting new rims and tires so if i make any changes it should...
