Bullitt suspension kit has arrived.....couple questions

That's why when they say it's in stock, I ask them "can you put your hands on it and confirm it is there?". Once I drove 130 miles round trip for a gasket that went from my tranmission to my transfer case in my 77 Chev K20 for nothing. I was told it was instock and when I got there they gave...

KB versus Novi 2000 - which is better for cold weather, cold startups?

Just think of this. I have NEVER heard of someone running a blown engine for 10 years. You will be rebuilding it before the 10 years, hell, probably after 3-4... Matt

    Cleaned my engine with Gunk....pics.

I spray on the Simple Green pretty liberally and let it soak. Then I spray it off with LOW pressure water. Then I get the 200 mph leaf blower out and dry it off as much as possible. Then I start her up and let her reach operating temp to make sure she dries out ASAP. With Ford's coil-on-plug...

Bullitt suspension kit has arrived.....couple questions

I was also tempted to leave my GT sway bar in, but I installed the complete kit. I'm glad I bought the Bullitt kit, it was $400 well spent. Those and the Steeda subframes are great. Matt

KB versus Novi 2000 - which is better for cold weather, cold startups?

Ok, I was working off of the "any of them" part of your statement. I'm clear now. Matt

KB versus Novi 2000 - which is better for cold weather, cold startups?

Well, I'm at 401 RWHP and that is with the factory snorkle, factory airbox, factory MAF, factory airtube to Accufab 75mm TB. I now have the KB CAI with 90mm MAF and have yet to get it dynod, but I'm sure I'm putting down a few more, maybe around the 420 rwhp range. I could put on the 14#...

GT to Cobra rear brake conversion

Try soaking it with WD40. Then come back in a couple of hours and hit it again. Then try her a third or fourth soaking and whack it with a punch and BFH (Big F***** Hammer). Matt

GT to Cobra rear brake conversion

Try this link: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/brembo.asp There is also a template that you can print on that page. I'm running 03 Cobra wheels http://forums.modulardepot.com/flyshow.php?&s=&showid=237 I also stayed with 17" wheels to save on tires. Matt

GT to Cobra rear brake conversion

Nope, the backing plates are different. They allow the calipers to be mounted farther from the axle, thus allowing for the larger diameter rotor. You have to take the diff cover off to get to the differential to unlock the axles so you can slide them out to take those backing plates off...

GT to Cobra rear brake conversion

Well, I've done the conversion also, and am running rear Cobra brakes along with the front 2000 Cobra R Bremo kit. I would not just change calipers if they are frozen, because you might have other problems. You really don't have to buy new calipers, because the rear brake setups are the...

    Kb 1.7

I hung with a 2001 Viper GTS. The owner was shocked, then mad that I could do it. But then again, I went with the 9#. Matt

GT to Cobra rear brake conversion

http://www.modulardepot.com/?show=articlesdet&aid=54 This should help. You have to pull the axles, so plan on getting some RTV and replacing the 75w90 rear oil. Matt

quick question, loctite on spark plugs

Way to go! I never had any doubt that the Ford rep didn't think about the long term effect of loc-tite, nor the removal of the plug installed with loc-tite. They were only thinking of the short time solution. I was told YEARS ago to put anti-seize on the plugs because they are made of...

quick question, loctite on spark plugs

Gee, excuse the attempt to bring some solid tech and experience to StangNet. It wasn't a witch hunt, just trying to help out before someone ruined their car. Is that a bad thing. If so, in the words of Steve Martin "Well, excuuuuuuuuuuuuse me!" I'll let everyone in on a little...

quick question, loctite on spark plugs

When I was new here I used this board for tech. Anyone else remember the plenum tests I did? Now I just come here to look around and try to put people back on track or just harass the obviously ignorant. If anyone reading my post takes offense to the above sentence, then you fall into...
