    By the way you describe it, the pushrods seem to be rubbing excessively against the guideplates, correct? That could mean bad guideplate adjustment. By the way, you are using hardened pushrods, right?

    I don't know about turbo's, but I know with superchargers it's a good idea not to get a low cc head, because your compression will be too high for boost. I think you made the right choice if forced induction is in your future. Maybe someone who knows more about forced induction can chime in.

    If you have money for a supercharger, don't cheap out and buy a Typhoon intake......get a quality product from Edelbrock, TFS, Holley, etc.

    The numbers refer to the size of the combustion chamber. Going with the smaller number will raise your compression ratio more. Stock 5.0. HO motors have a compression ratio of 9.0:1. So they might raise the compression to around 9.4:1 or so.

    Either a bad sensor somewhere or possible a vaccuum leak. I've had a few bad vaccuum leaks in my car (due to bad intake gaskets) and the car runs like complete ass in lower rpms.

    Mines lowered 1.5" but I don't have 245's all around. I run 225's on the front, so no rubbing issues for me.

    That's really strange. Take it to a dyno or the track or something.....maybe your SOTP meter is broken, lol. When I did my heads/RR's/cam, I noticed a huge difference......like a 100 fwhp kind of gain. What carburetor are you running? What rear end gears?

    You'll be able to use the stock intake, but it'll be a huge bottleneck in your motor.

    Those 1.72 rockers help that cam a lot though. If someone was going with a B-Cam, I would only recommend 1.7's (or 1.72s) with it......screw 1.6 rockers.

    Another good thing about aluminum heads that I don't think anyone has mentioned is weight savings. You would save 50 lbs. off the front end (where it's needed most) if you go aluminum. In this case however, the other guys are right.....if you keep the b cam then you might as well get Gt-40's...

    They should fit with a simple quad shock removal....if you have tailpipes, they might rub slightly also, but you can fix that easily too.

    You use the thread sealer for the bolts that go into the water passages. It basically works the same as the moly lube, but it seals the threads.
