    Perfectly put BobV. Just because you can doesn't mean that you should. Also, the profile / sidewall hieght can be taken into account when squeezing wider tires onto rims. I, personally, get nervous when the "black arts" are used to find something as important propper tire fit.

    Looks good, you'd probably be jsut as happy running a 600cfm vac secondary carb. Otherwise it looks like an engine that would be fun in the street. What gears and trany are you looking at?

    225 is an excellent size tire for an 8" rim. Most tire shops will recommend 225 for that rim width. Not the largest tire that will fit, it's just a good fit.

    I bought my Performer RPM before the air-gap was available. I will say that it absolutely brought my relatively mild 289 to life. Very pleased with my purchase. This is on a 289 that was rebuilt at 9.5-1, aftermarket cam, extensive port work on the stock heads and JBA shorty headers...

    Roller tip vs stock rocker arm

    You are right on the money there. They aren't very expensive, and if you were already going to replace the stockers it's nice peace of mind. But, don't do it for a performance gain, you'll be dissapointed.
