    It would be interesting if someone who owned a vacuum guage would hook it up to the I.manifold, during a dyno test. That reading, probably a few tenths of one psi, would be indicative of how much potential gain there is to be had with throttle body-plenem-etc changes. Rio

    Red, you should not expect to gain torque with a cam swap. The stock GT cam has a ridiculously low duration. There is a lot of room for improvement in power at the high end,,,with a wider torque curve, but likely, not much gain in peak torque.

    Short shift. Coast a little bit up to stop signs. When in cruise, think a little bit, and arrange things so that you avoid engine-braking, make every drop of gas...count. When cresting a hill, do so slightly slower than your average speed. Rio

    I recomend that 'stang owners keep the oil near (not over) the max line. Nowhere is it written that an oil top off must be an entire quart. :D

    I just don't believe that lowering backpressure lowers engine performance.(perhaps someone has a pic of a cut up stock muffler) IMO, the big problem is the stock muffler, not the tubing. 'whatever happened to glasspacs?'

    Low oil..

    I own a 96 GT 5-speed. When I park 'downhill', when I start the car, sometimes the 'low oil' comes-stays on. That said, keep your oil FULL. Half a quart low, add half a quart. R.
