    The gauge needles do move when turned to start. Everything goes on as normal as if it would when it should crank i.e. clock goes off, lights in dash change, the usual. The lock cylinder is brand new as the old one was very loose and the key would go in funny. Would this cause something else...

    Hail damage! How should I paint my car?

    Ha. The minute I saw this thread title I knew you were from Columbus. Lots of cars damaged. Luckily the hail didn't come with the storm that visited me. I would paint it straight opal frost personally, getting rid of the stripes and stuff you have. Thats just my opinion though.
