    The imports you really need to look out for are mid 80's to early 90's turbos. Supras, 300zx(z31), Conquests, 323gtx, Rx-7 turbo II, etc. They are cheap, most have pretty tough motors that can take higher psi without much supporting mods. I had an 85 300zx turbo i bought for 1500. 165,000 miles...

    I think they are called throwout bearings because you should always replace them when doing the clutch. Ya know, throw out the old one. Maybe thats not it but i seem to remember hearing that sometime back.
