New rear end gears whine loud when I let off

Since it only happens when he is coasting, I think it is backlash. When you coast, power is transmitted from your wheels to your drivetrain, causing a different side or face of the gear to have load on it. Under power, the other side of the gear has load on it. Did you check the contact...

    I feel Soooooooo DUMB

Actually it is true. If you have plastic and metal in an oven at 400 degrees, they are both 400 degrees. It is only the fact that the metal is better at transferring the heat than plastic, that is why it feels more hot.

quick question, loctite on spark plugs

I am going to try to bring back some maturity to this thread and get back on subject with a few questions to the ford tech. 1.) When you say: does this mean that you have in fact seen a secured spark plug with a rubber boot holding it actually back out and then come out? 2.) Here we...

Will the GT500 engine fit in a 99-04?

I'm gonna guess it would set you back a cool $14,000 or more for the engine. A cobra engine is $12,000

Doing a clutch install myself, what will I need...

It is definitely doable without air tools. Just make sure you get the flywheel resurfaced and to torque the bolts progressively and evenly in a criss-cross pattern. Use threadlocker on all the flywheel and pressure plate bolts. Make sure you get a new throwout bearing and take the time to...

Can Someone Please Explain A Pushrod Engine.

In a pushrod engine, you have a single camshaft that is in the engine block. It has lifters that ride on the cam lobes which in turn have pushrods on top of them. The pushrods run up through the heads and push up on the rocker arms, the rocker arms then push down on the valve stem. In our...

trying to pintpoint a problem after s/c installation

If you haven't had the car dyno tuned yet, then that is the cause of the problem you are having. You have to get that thing on a dyno ASAP. You are going to cause damage to your engine if you drive it like that.

    Installing JBA Shorty Headers

If you ask me, the easiest way to do a header install is to either pull the engine or pull the K-member out. I pulled my K-member when I installed my BBK LTs. It was an hour and a half of work that saved me at least 8 hours of time messing around trying to get at the bolts.

    heavy / stiff Clutch

How about the '05 :stick: On topic: I love my centerforce clutch. Just make sure you properly torque the bolts and resurface/replace your flywheel with a new clutch and you will be good. Centerforce does require a 500 mile stop-and-go traffic break in period.
