    That brings up another question I've had...the 2010's are supposed to have "adaptive tuning", right? My understanding was that they are like the Bullitt in that you can run 87 octane OR 91 octane without retuning the car (the car will retard the timing automatically for the lower octane)...

    Isn't the gear ratio a parameter along with tire size and shift points that you can modify yourself? I thought most tuners (I think Brenspeed's does) leave those unlocked. I'm very curious to hear your reply because I've been thinking of buying a tuner from Bama/AM.

    Nice one VPStang!!:nice: Similar to mine but the one I got was a grabber blue auto with wing delete. My last Mustang was black and my heart still skips a beat every time I see a black one...then I remember what a PITA it was to keep clean and looking good!:D At least the 2010 paint appears...

    Depends on how cold it is...you might not be able to at all :rlaugh: Seriously, it says in the owner's manual. I don't think you're supposed to over 10mph.

    I'd go for an 08/09 with the revised heads if you plan on keeping it and ever want to change the spark plugs :nice: You also stand a better chance of having some factory warranty left in case any issues arise during your first year of ownership.

    I traded my 08 primarily so I could get rid of the 5spd for an auto. The new Getrag 6speeds might be great but I'll take an auto over a Tremec any day of the week. If I was to get a 2011+ a testdrive of both transmissions would be mandatory. I wouldn't order either sight unseen...

    Well I finally pulled the trigger!! 2010 GT!

    The dealers "should" be discounting the 2010's by a bunch now that the 2011's are soon to be on lots. The trick is to wait long enough to maximize your rebate but not so long as to have "THE" car you want sold. Close to invoice plus the $3k in Ford rebates seems to be pretty standard pricing now.

    I'm totally guessing...but I think it's a limitation of the transmission. If you're sensitive about downshifting testdrive a Camaro SS...the pig of an automatic transmission they put in that car almost never downshifts when you want it to.

    Is it just me or are the heated seats (on my 2010 GT) terrible? They barely warm, and definitely don't heat! Is that "normal"?
