Great numbers and you can see how fine tuning a combo really pays off! Thanks for all of the info.

On the C&L 85mm MAF, how do you get the stock internal parts into the C&L housing?

It is super easy. The stock electronics simply unscrew from the top of the factory housing, then place the electronics on top of the C&L housing. Torx bits come with the C&L kit to fit the screws on your electronics. It is very easy and should only take about 10 minutes for the whole process.

How hard is it to install U/D pullies?

If you use Steeda pulleys you can reuse your stock belt. You will also need a torque wrench and the afore mentioned impact wrench for the alt pulley. Also, make sure you use some silicone sealer around the crank bolt washer.

    Plenum testing protocol ???s

Last we inquired with C&L (three days ago) they were still working on the design for the casting. It will probaby take quite a bit of time due to the complexity but should be worth it. Just curious Matt, you mentioned that the throttle body (and the other parts, I assume) are being sent to...

    Plenum testing protocol ???s

One could get really anal about the whole thing but does the dyno software take ambient temp and humidity into account and come up with a correction? Those two things will change as the day goes on. How many pulls do you plan on making with each combo? Try at least two and if those two are...

How many miles can a 4.6 last??

I know several people that have 140-160K on them, well maintained, and are still working great. Does the truck have maintenance records? Would be nice to see before you buy.

Track times after "DRAGON" Plenum install, come on inside--->

It will be interesting to see how the Trick Flow plenum works too. Should be available in about a week and dyno and strip tests will likely follow a few weeks after that (depending on the weather).

    horsepower gain question

I'd say 2-3 tenths as well. In reality, you may loose more traction off the line so your trap speed should go up about 2 mph even if your et stays about the same.

    Whats the next step?

Continue with the simple bolt-ons like Wills Black 98 said, then some mild suspension upgrades. If you want more, and like nitrous, go for it after the other bolt-ons.

    shorties VS. stock

There is a blurb in 5.0 about the new BBK shorts and BBK claims some nice gains with them. They appear to be made well so we will see what the real world gains are when the are released.

what is the pcv and what does it do?

You have a vacuum line from the PCV valve that is located in your intake manifold to the underside of your upper intake. There are no lines in the inside of the engine, just many passages that air can move around.

what is the pcv and what does it do?

Stands for positive crankcase ventillation and as the name implies, it works with other components to vent pressure from the crankcase. While the engine is running, blowby makes it past the piston rings and into the voids in the engine (oil pan, valve covers, etc). This pressure and gas has to...

    Fast, cheap, easy.

If you plan on running an S/C just buy bolt-ons now that are compatible with the S/C. LT headers, C&L intake plenum and Accufab TB, gears, etc.

Anyone polish the C&L plenum on the inside?

You can get a complete kit from Eastwood - they may be a little pricey but they have what you need. And yes, I have looked inside many of the plenums and compared to other cast aluminum parts, they are pretty smooth inside (unless you got a bum one for some reason). If you got the Accufab...

Anyone polish the C&L plenum on the inside?

The inside is pretty smooth already and I don't think you will see a gain from polishing the inside. You can polish the outside as long as you follow the proper steps - just like polishing any cast aluminum part.

    Prochamber and Flows are on..WOW

Glad you like the PC! They make the best all around power and they tame the flows just enough so that they are not anoying.

    65mm or 70mm TB?

You might loose a little bottom end but it will not be enough to notice. Plus if you ever add a cam, you would generally raise the power band anyway and they 70 would really help then.
