    Worst products you ever used.

Ooo I remember when that first came out and it was real big back then because it was the first, or one of the first, synthetic type waxes that went on and off easily. The problem with Rain Dance is that when it gets anywhere near black plastic trim, even for a second, it's virtually...

My damaged Bullitt rims transformed!! From disaster to...

Me 2 ! That's wild!!! :nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice: FWIW I got curb rash on one of my bullitt rims, just on the lip, and I used a dremel tool to gradually grind it down and blend it into the rest of the undamaged part. I purchased clear coat from Advanced Auto and you can barely...

    Automatic Shifters - Please Help

Yes I run the B&M xxx264 model. Works great although getting the correct fittings was a bit of a PITA. Summit sells a kit specifically for Ford fittings that worked great. I installed in front of the car towrd the drivers side and ran the hoses up the same holes that the stock lines go...

    Automatic Shifters - Please Help

Thanks CobraRed!! I dropped the valve body today and took a look and it appears that the factory already drilled the Jmod holes in the plate ! I matched it up with the plate I got from VAP and every hole was drilled and in fact some on the factory plate were even larger than the VAP...

C Springs in an 02 GT vert?

Everything you've ever wanted to know about springs can be found here: http://www.modularrevolution.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13 I too am toying with the idea of lowering and making my 2003 GT VERT handle better. So far I have done a MM STB and MM Full Length SFC. The difference is...

    Fuel pump change

I've done them on other cars and it isn't difficult, just be careful around gasoline. This past winter the pump in my Caprice died and since it was 10 degrees out I had the local mechanic do it. Cost me $125 labor (I already had the part) and it's the same procedure as the Mustang pump, IOW...

Tranny Cooler Help...Ok I'm Plumbing Challenged...

I'm starting to wonder if Ford used several different varities of fittings on the tranny lines. Did your line have the threads starting about 1/8 inch back from the end of the tube? That's my problem because the tube won't fit into any of the couplings I have been able to find. If I end...

Tranny Cooler Help...Ok I'm Plumbing Challenged...

Actually that's the article I followed to install the cooler! Great write up BTW. Was your tranny line cooler fitting tapped to the end of the fitting? If you look carefully at my pic, you can see that the threads don't start until about a 1/8th of an inch in and that is what is causing my...

Tranny Cooler Help...Ok I'm Plumbing Challenged...

Yea, the big problem is that the threads don't extend all the way down the fitting so it won't screw in... With all the cars I have worked on I have never seen anything quite like this. The GM and Chrysler coolers I installed just hooked up with no troubles.

Tranny Cooler Help...Ok I'm Plumbing Challenged...

I'm installing a B&M tranny cooler and have read all the posts regarding the fact that the kit (nor the Ford kit, same part BTW) comes with the all the proper fittings. So I figured out the barb fitting that goes into the radiator ok but now I am stumped. I purchased some couplers and...

    Automatic Shifters - Please Help

+1 With the later models, 99-04 Jmod do you still remove the springs from the accumulators or leave them alone? I can't seem to find any information on this, even after reading Jerry's "AODE/4R70W Bible". I'm going to be installing my Jmod plate this week and was wondering. I just...

    Car Overheating: Not Thermostat

Lot's of great advice in the replies. My take on it.... If you are not losing coolant (not when it overheats, but normally) If the fan comes on normally and especially with A/C on. You have a clog somewhere. Radiator is first culprit on a car that old. Using the stop leak didn't help, we all...

Guess its time for a Super charger

Add Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata to the list, if optioned correctly. And even if the HP isn't up there, some of these cars are so light that the power/weight ratio makes them very quick cars. Torque is poor in most of them though. The cars however have no character. They all look a...

what brake pads do you run??

+1 on Advanced for the pads. Dust is easy to clean like you say. It's not "sticky" like the semi-metallic type dust (for lack of a better description) and it just hoses off. Don't go near the Bendix semi-metallic pads though because they squeak and dust is everywhere. The price difference...

    Is Magnaflow the quietest exhaust?

They sound great but I disagree with you on the rust. See my last post. That pic is after one year on the car. The mufflers themselves are still perfect and nice and shiny, but the pipes and hangers, well you can see for yourself.

higher gas prices in low income areas??

Good thing! I've driven in the UK. Those fsckers drive on the wrong side of the road and are crazier than a Boston driver on a Saturday night.
