    Is Magnaflow the quietest exhaust?

+1 on getting louder after breaking in. They sound better as well. My only complaint with Magnaflow is that the drone under load at 2k is annoying and the pipes, especially at the hangers, themselves seem to be getting more rust than I would have expected. Here are two files, one of an...

what brake pads do you run??

You're hysterical! FWIW I never liked Hawk pads either. Ford OEM or Bendix CTS Ceramic for me. The Bendix Semi Metallic (one down the line from Ceramic) suck BTW. Dust and squeal and they don't come with the clips, grease etc like the Ceramics do.

Magnaflow exhaust kits for 98 GT

I have the Magnaflow 15671 catback, the regular one and mine installed fine. You DO have to play with the position of the pipes in order to have it clear everything but this is typical on just about every system I have installed except stock Ford and that is only because the system is mostly all...

Long term effects of Steeda UDP's

MMFF magazine actually talks about this in the current issue. Basically what they say is that if your cooling system is having problems to begin with, UDP will only aggravate the problem.

    Caster Camber plate install (PICS)

    1. Do NOT drive that car anyplace other than going back to those butchers and demanding they fix it. That guy must have had meat hooks for hands and sh** for brains. The plates look very flimsy BTW.

    anti-theft system

It sounds like it thinks you have left the keys in the ignition or the headlights on. On another note, if you leave a door or the trunk open and try to use the remote to lock the doors (2 presses) you will get 2 beeps from the horn.

Took The Stang to the Shop Today

Not to hijack the thread, but what's the cheapest way to get a key made for a 2003 Jetta. I don't need the FOB just a key that will start/open the car and I only have one working key/fob I have 2 Jetta's BTW, great cars but $$$$$ to fix and the water pump is a poor design as is the power...

Took The Stang to the Shop Today

The car will stall long before it hydrolocks.... Any of the Top Engine cleaners, like GM, Seafoam, etc are to be used as a COMPLETE LAST RESORT.... And yes, I know many people will disagree, but think about it for a minute. Your motor was designed to tolerate certain fluids, in certain...

    which cat back system?

Without question one of the best sounding stangs I have heard in a long time. Sounds like Magnaflow/Bassani/Borla all rolled into one system! I wonder what it sounds like with the stock H pipe because I can't run O/R here and it might be too loud for me anyway. I'm currently running the...

    Magnaflow Magnapacks

Get some masking tape or that blue painters tape and put some pieces where you think it might be rubbing. Drive around a few days and then look at the tape. You'll be able to see real fast where the clearance problems are. Put the tape on the car, not on the pipes BTW :D

Has anyone seen this crazy spark plug?

Hahahah! You beat me to it! I was going to ask him if JC Whitney was selling that plug cause that would be all the more reason not to buy one. Not that I would anyway...

    Interesting Spark Plug story

I won't put Bosch electrical parts in any car. I went through 3 O2 sensors for my GM 350 before I finally gave up and purchased the OEM. Car would hunt on idle in closed loop like it had a vacuum leak. My personal feeling is that Bosch has gone downhill in recent years. As for plugs, I...

    Subframe connectors- Some questions...

    1. The stock Vert and Mach (maybe others as well) come with bolt on 1/2 length useless subframes. 2. I installed the MM full lenth powder coated SF on my 2003 GT vert and the difference is amazing. I could feel it just backing out of the driveway. Coupled with the MM strut tower brace...

    Subframe connectors- Some questions...

I just had the full length MM put on my 2003 GT Vert. I got the powdercoated ones and sprayed the welds with paint. Cost was $165 to install and the guy had a drive on lift and did an excellent job. He also had to remove the stock bolt on subframes that come on verts. What a difference...

    new throttle body-high idle,and hanging rpm's

Unhooking the battery does not effect the tune, it only erases the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) which is basically a set of baseline values for sensors emissions controls etc. Assuming nothing is sticking, double check this real good, it could be anything. The TPS does not have to be adjusted...
