    I have talked to Jay at broader performance a couple times. I think he talked with me for almost a hour. Really knows his stuff, and never heard anyone talk bad about his products or customer service. If he's that close to you, id check him out.

    New starter for my 289

    Get a new style one from a 91-93 Fox. Make sure you match your application as far as manual or auto. Then you just run a jumper wire from the solenoid on the new starter with the power wire going from your stock solenoid to the starter.. If that makes sense.

    I used to get sputter after my 289 would get hot. I was pretty sure it was distributor related. I know i touched the resistor on the dizzy once, and the car wouldnt start. Touched it again, and it started. Just another place to check if nothing else.

    Alright, Im about to fire up my motor. It is a 1996 351 W Short block with a Trick Flow Stage 2 Cam (5.0). Do i use the 351 firing order, or the 5.0 firing order? Im thinking since its a 5.0 cam, i use the 5.0 order. Just double checking. Thanks.

    I bought my 65 Coupe with 289, top loader, decent paint, couple small rust bubbles, and boyd wheels for 7200. All it needed was a radiator. Its kinda what i base real world value on.
